Supose that you have 20 pests with a total damage of 100 vs. a 100 HP oponent, and the oponent has a total of 20 attack with creatures+weapon.
When the oponent attacks, your HP decreases from 100 to 80.
In the next turn, you remove your SoP and your pests kill the oponent.
You will finish the game with 80HP, not 100, because you are not healed in the last turn.
No EM.
Not a likely situation. By the time you're playing Bonds, you've already had the quanta to play Plague. With SoP in play, just be patient. It doesn't
always EM, true. That's never been my claim. But the potiential is quite good.
More likely: your opponent has 20 damage out, due to a fast rush. You lock the game by mid-game, then play plague/bonds/SoP, Purify yourself to heal (unless up against scorps), and wait. When your opponent's creatures die out (unless you're up against Golden Dragons, or Stone Dragons, it's not likely to take more than 5-6 turns), wait to heal. Then, and only then, blow up your SoP - unless you look likely to deck out first, in which case forget about the EM.
Chapuz, I respect your deckmaking prowess; how would you build an EM Pestalbow? It's fun to play, for control players like me - what changes do you suggest, to make this the best deck it can be?
