Deck Helper comment:
This deck was posted before the 1.32 game update and as a result may work very differently now.  Use at your own risk.

Did a quick search, but didn't see anything quite like this going on in the forums.  It's doing pretty well in Bronze thus far, and so-so in Silver, with a few wins in Gold.

The idea is pretty obvious: obtain pestal lock.  Slap down Bond and SoP, plaguing if necessary.  Wait.  Win.

I'm thinking of replacing the Steal, but I'm not sure what with.  Maybe a SoD, for a few extra electrum/game?  An Explosion, for PC that doesn't interfere with Pests early on?

Any suggestions, feedback, or what have you would be most welcome.

EM? Doesn't bond activate after your creatures attack? How do you EM? Also, nto sure if 2 SoPs will be enough for damage.

Yes, bond does activate after your creatures try to attack, which SoP prevents.  2 SoPs aren't enough only if both of them are in the bottom 5-6 cards of the deck, which doesn't happen often.  It can, however - do you think another SoP would be better than Steal?  Also, trying this version now:

which seems a bit faster off the hop.

I mean, if you kill your opponent, you won't get the healing. SoP also prevents your creatures from attacking, and after your pests kill the opponent, bond won't activate. I'm curious as to why you upgraded nova. Now you'll have to get at least 2 novas before you can use them. Also why up pests first? Why not bond, plague, and lightning? I'd say 6 novas are better than supernovas.

I understand that.  But, with 23 Pests on the field, holding off on attacking, the Bond heals you quickly.  Just don't blow up your SoP until you're healed.  I've swapped out the Lightning for Siphon Life, since SL is just as good for CC by the time I need it, and is also helpful for EM at the end.

As to the upgrade order:  SN, because I'm likely to hit the Novas in the first draws, and the extra  :life helps get the Bond out; the rest, because I haven't yet earned the  :electrum for those ups - I don't use Bonds, Plague, or Lightning in any other decks, so I haven't upped them yet.

@memimemi
Supose that you have 20 pests with a total damage of 100 vs. a 100 HP oponent, and the oponent has a total of 20 attack with creatures+weapon.
When the oponent attacks, your HP decreases from 100 to 80.
In the next turn, you remove your SoP and your pests kill the oponent.
You will finish the game with 80HP, not 100, because you are not healed in the last turn.
No EM.

Not a likely situation.  By the time you're playing Bonds, you've already had the quanta to play Plague.  With SoP in play, just be patient.  It doesn't always EM, true.  That's never been my claim.  But the potiential is quite good.

More likely: your opponent has 20 damage out, due to a fast rush.  You lock the game by mid-game, then play plague/bonds/SoP, Purify yourself to heal (unless up against scorps), and wait.  When your opponent's creatures die out (unless you're up against Golden Dragons, or Stone Dragons, it's not likely to take more than 5-6 turns), wait to heal.  Then, and only then, blow up your SoP - unless you look likely to deck out first, in which case forget about the EM.

Chapuz, I respect your deckmaking prowess; how would you build an EM Pestalbow?  It's fun to play, for control players like me - what changes do you suggest, to make this the best deck it can be?

Lol thanks,

An EM pestalbow? With some black dragons or gargs, and liquid shadows.
It's freaking slow btw, I would opt for something faster as Bronze makes you need 6 wins in a row to get a rare spin, and EMing in bronze is NOTHING  :P

I only bother with EMing in Gold - that's where the money's at.  Three EMs and you've got yourself money for an upgraded card.

The plague and the bond seems to be out of place here. What's up with those cards? The fact is, you might not even be able to play those. So, for healing, just prepare a vampire for fractaling. I certainly know about the burrow bonus for pests, but hey, how many pests can you burrow anyways? I would either take those out or use supernovas. In fact, it might even work with an :entropy mark since SN gives you the 2 :darkness to get started, albeit slower.
PVE shouldn't be all about copying a deck code and converting time into electrum, score, and potentially rares.
If the only way to derive fun from a game is its PVP content, then non-hardcore players a.k.a. the mass are alienated from the hardcore community.

(this is not for EM)

Good old deckout is another way to win games. I suggest combination of Fractal and Mitosis, so you have to ways to multiply pests.

And deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rq 6rq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 7ap 7ap 7gs 7n2 7n2 7q8 7q8 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 80i 80i 80i 80i 8pu

Two SoR'ed flying weapons do wonders and don't destroy all opponent's towers, because you need some darkness quanta to avoid your own deckout.

As you can see, I'm new to elements^^
