yeah weights would be tricky. but in terms of the -spark + phoenix question, what are some of the stats as for how the change affects the possible situations? we can probably tell which one is better objectively without weights, but simply +4% index does not mean its better

I used 5 BL and 1 MP in the earliest version and I found most of the time I had the MP in an early draw, I wished it was a BL.  IDK, there's beneifits of both variation.  Since there are only 4 nova now, I cringe at dropping to 4 BL's.

Absolutely.  They serve the same purpose.  I prefer the BL's for burst damage, but the deck will work just fine with RoL's.

So is this deck faster than the Ultimate Speed EM deck?
No, it even has heals

Here's a variant I was using containing no upped or rare cards:

Code: [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 590 590 5c2 5c2 5c2 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa 5ut 5ut 61p 61p 61p 61p 61p 61p
Even without the upgrades or daggers, this deck is FAST.

Some caveats though:

Those vampires are pretty poor stiletto substitutes, since they cost so much you will only be able to get one out usually, and should be replaced ASAP (I have since switched one out since getting a stiletto).

I'd suggest buying a phoenix and upgrading it first thing, then replacing a nova with it.

Polder, i gave you karma for your very awesome/logical-looking calculations, but are you sure about all your numbers? I play a speedbow a lot, and this seems much less consistent in terms of starting draws than the speedbow does. but I could be wrong, and numbers dont like (as long as theyre the right numbers lol)
also polder have you given any thought to giving different weights to different situations? like based on damage output or just arbitrarily assigned or something
ooh also Polder you said -spark +phoenix increases the index by 4% right? i did that change but i just had a thought...since youre not weighting different situations there maybe a higher chance to get damage out but that damage wont be as high because while theres a higher chance of situations 2-5 in your calculation, theres also a lower chance of getting multiple golems on the first turn or other really good hands.  do you know how this affects things?
The great thing about this deck is that no matter the hand, You'll very soon be playing damage. For example, I had 2 heals 2 BLights 2 novas and 2 cremations in my hand 1 game. I was like @#$%it... This is fail. then drew nothing but my Destroyers, Graboids, and a Dagger on the last turn for a 6 turn EM game. I've now played 150 games with it, longest game? 11 turns.

My search for zuper amazing EM decks had led me to ths gem.  A pillarless EM deck that is a blast to play and runs over AI3 and T50 with reckless abandon.
...
maybe good for AI3 (as usual with many of jmdt's deck) but in dire need of some explosions for T50

im using 5 photon and two phoenix and i agree that everytime you get the phoenix you whish it was a photon: either you can play 2 golems with 10  :fire and will not allow you to immolate your phoenix or 1 golem and 1 phoenix and youre slower. Thats typically something those percentages dont take into account
