I think you should take out mirror and put fog back in, its more useful and mirror is very situational

I started with the SG almost unupped FG farmer. It was really bad in the beginning, had only 12 cards upped. Hardcore farmed FGs to upgrade all but the results were not much better even with almost everything upped. Then i decided to build this deck (has a lot of common cards). Yesterday i completed the upgrading, and after testing it, i have to say its well worth the effort. Estimated win rate is at around 40% (i need to get used to the deck still) so far. Now i have a good chance to take out a lot more FGs than with my former deck. However, against some gods, even tho i win, its a lot slower because of the lack of creature generation (only boneyard, no FFQ). Some of the matches are really long, especially against FGs that use PU/TU (you cant risk making mutants, and skellies wont hit through for example jade shield, you have to build up your Oty to pack a punch and that takes time). In one match yesterday, Gemini managed to overwhelm me in the end with colossal dragons, and had bad luck with fog shield.

Other than (in my opinion) this deck being a bit slow, the win rate and the versatility is amazing, also serves a very good base for tweaking. The only autoquit FG, Divine Glory can be beaten with a PA+thorn shield  (+sundials to delay). Im going to test that.

i'm testing a version with animate weap and i must say i'm liking this version a lot
heres what i'm using right now :-

Code: [Select]
52n 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u6 71b 749 74b 74b 75m 75m 77f 77i 7do 7do 7gp 7k0 7n2 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 80h 80h 80hmirror shield is the iffy one here, it is a whole lot easier to cast compared to jade shield but seems like neither is all that good in this deck
Wondering how you manage to last the 1st few turns against faster FGs without sundials to stall until you get your stuff out? I've got a few things upgraded from upgrading the SG unupped deck but kinda used to the sundials now because of it. Also, I can see a good use for mirror/jade shield. Mainly just for octane, but it's a god that I usually have to skip without a mirror/jade and been getting him frequently these days =x

having a variety of shields circumvent the need for stalling with sundial which is usually the preface for bonewall+boneyard+firestorm combo

This is what i use currently:

Code: [Select]
52n 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u6 6u7 749 74b 74b 77f 77i 7do 7do 7gp 7k0 7n0 7n2 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q7 7q8 80h 80h 80j
As kobis said, more shields are making the deck more versatile. Grav shield is protecting you from hard hitters (for example auto win against Miracle if you draw it early, also my choice of shield against Gemini), frost shield against small attack creatures (but its hard to bring it out early due to the lack of SNs in the deck). I got rid of bonewall because it needs a combo to be effective (RoF+bonewall). Octane would be almost autoquit without mirror/jade shield, i chose mirror coz its much cheaper. Anubis as quinting machine and optional mindgate for fun. Mindgate is tricky, but grants you a winning factor against medium/hard gods (pwned Dark Matter with her own black holes and a grav nymph lol, been lucky, she didnt draw many pillars early, also managed to kill Scorpio with his own poisons and puffy fishes). I left Antimatter in, because it saved my life many times till i drew the proper shield against my opponent.

The deck is a bit grav and time quanta heavy and can result into losing the match if you dont draw enough pillars and a shield+SoGs. Win rate is between 40-50% but i dont really care about win rate, its really fun to play it, especially with mindgate in.

My modified version of one of the ones in this thread - with sundials, without mirror or jade shield. So that means Gods like Octane are almost always auto-quit. Gravity shield owns: it makes Osiris powerless, same with Miracle, Destiny, Seism... pretty much any god that uses strong hitters.

I have a mix of upped and unupped sundials in there - I might go to all unupped because mulligan can still screw you over, but I find with only unupped sometimes you're spending too much time quanta. With a mix you can control when you can afford to spend time quanta and when you want to save it (but without the being screwed-ness that 6 upped sundials can land you in).

Also I've added in Feral Bonds to complement SoGs - the reason is not that they heal better, but they allow you to EM a lot more frequently.

Please don't blame me but I think that "Octane (Decay) is an autoquit without mirror shield!" thing is nothing more than an "urban legend" (big bullsh1t).
Beating Octane w/o mirror (and even w/o permacontrol) is very possible and not occasional, with some luck and strategy (knowing the PC priorities, choosing the right time to set up the bonewall to protect SoG's, playing sundials at right time to protect the bonewall, eating your own druid to produce one skeleton and deck him out...)

Like many people stated before me the only autoquit is DG, as you can't deploy damage without death triggers.

So please don't autoquit against Octane, instead fight him. Me personally thinks that players uses rainbows against FG's instead of Rol/Hope because they prefer fighting FG's not farming them.
( skipping half of the FG's :)) :)) :)) )

(and 1 mirror in a 4x card deck is not a big thing, at least the AI will explode your SoG's instead, and you'll have a dead card against the other 22 FG's)

I said it makes "almost" autoquit :) Youre right, ppl who use this deck prefer to fight FGs instead of farm :) I never autoquit, but the thing is, if you dont have a good draw against Octane, youre getting overwhelmed by the occasional 40 damage/turn provided by 2 UGs. Also, adding another shield to my deck means i draw a shield early. Mirror shield is not something amazing, but the 1 damage reduction can save me sometimes, and saved my butt in tough situations against Decay,  Fire Queen or Hermes, so i wouldnt call it useless or a one god card. Our decks prolly arent the same, so you have different strong points in yours and less need for a mirror/jade shield.

DG is very tough, almost impossible. Managed to win with a bit different deck (fire shield+2 PA), but that is really situational, and you dont really need 2 PAs or a fire/spine shield against other gods.

(Mind you, im still a noob, playing for 3 months, so if you find my post noobish, just smile  ;) )

If you want, you could add a jade shield for certain gods, because it reduces 2 instead of the mirror's one.

I've switched one of the hour glasses from the original deck with a mindgate, and it seems to be doing better.  Against Osiris, I was 0/5 with the original deck.  This mindgate version has given me 3/0 so far.

Adding a mindgate really makes the deck more fun to play and I've got the feeling, it helps winning (faster), and makes the deck more flexible furthermore. The only problem might be that you have to pay attention that you have enough  :aether for the quints in early game.
