Anti-FG: Using up my Nymph cards (v1.27) Purple, Air, Dark https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=25112.msg320392#msg320392

Deck Helper comment:
This deck was posted before the 1.32 game update and as a result may work very differently now.  Use at your own risk.

The deck:

So I was intrigued by the updates to Nymphs casting cost and put together this deck.  It was designed to damage FGs in three primary ways-
(1) Air Nymph + SOR + Quint = Unstable Gas
(2) Purple Nymph + Dark Nymph = heals you, damages FG
(3) Dark Nymph + Mitosis + SOR + Quint = lots of 5/5 creatures

The real strength is mixing and matching the different strategies above to whittle the FG down...it's pretty flexible and can adapt to the FG you are facing.  For instance, does the FG have a Mirror or Jade Shield?  Don't use the Air Nymph to pump out Unstable Gasses, use Mitosis (+SOR) on it and go for a "cheap" army of 6/2 creatures.

The deck has 21 points of healing, spread over 3 SOGs, 1 Sanctuary and 1 Purify.
It carries three shields- Jade, Permafrost, and Skull Buckler.
It carries 2 Pulverizers for permanent control.

With 2 SN in hand, you can usually play an Hourglass, a Pulverizer, a Sanctuary, a Skull Buckler, and SOG.

The drawbacks to this deck are early rushes and/or bad quanta draws.  You'll need predict how much damage you need to do before you deckout, so STOP drawing extra cards with the Hourglass (but keep putting Hourglasses on the field if the FG has permanent destruction).

Although I haven't kept strict data records, I feel it's about a 40-45% win rate, including the new FGs.

Thanks for looking.

Looks great Wushu, appears very flexible and fun to play. I'd pack another permafrost over the skull buckler, i'm a sucker for it and not one for compromising to fend off a rush :P

Thanks.

The Skull Buckler especially helps out against those FGs with quinted or burrowed creatures.  Although the % seems low, the skeleton conversion by the Skull Buckler has helped me out quite a few times by converting mid-to-high level attacking creatures to 2/2 skeletons.  Plus it's only 2 quanta to play.

Another alternative is to replace the Skull Buckler with a Dusk Mantle -- it's only 4 quanta and 50% miss rate is pretty helpful.

However, I do like the Permafrost shields too; in fact, I've run with 3 in this type of SN deck before.  But I think it's more diversified to carry different types of shields with different costs from different quanta requirements.

Can't say fairer than that - variety is, after all, the spice of life :P

One of the reasons I liked your deck is that I got :air nymph last week, so i've been trying to work it into a few decks myself ;) - but mainly because I've been playing a Nymphomania-style deck working around the purple/dark nymph SoR combo for the last 3 weeks, it even also has mitosis (sometimes to use on dark nymph to rack up burst damage mainly in a different fashion to the +5  :)) ) I'll likely be posting that up very soon with stats and a guide. It's a shame I don't have a purple or dark nymph because I'd be sure to give this deck a try  :-[

I used a similar but fat deck a while ago, it had 2 :entropy nymphs and plague instead of the shield and got something around 35-40% I like this one, i'll give it a try.

I wanted to upvote this deck for being awesome.

I am still iffy about the use of mitosis in conjunction with nymphs, but otherwise, I love it.

I have got no  :darkness Nymph.  :(
Would a similar deck also be possible with Nymph tears?

Thanks for the positive feedback.

It's been my experience that an early nymph (w/SOR) mitosis works really well as a creature rush, or an additional 3-6 points (depending on the nymph) damage each round.  Also, having multiple copies of either liquid shadow, or unstable gas, or antimatter on the field really speeds up win.  Lastly, it specifically helps with FGs with bonewall.

Not as part of this deck -- it could work in theory, but having to add enough nymph tears and dark towers would really throw off this deck's composition and balance.  For instance, you might need to choose between the nymph tear or get a permafrost shield out.  I would refer you to the nymphomania decks if you need to use nymph tears.

Yeah, sometimes it is a pretty good fall-back plan.

I have played maybe 100 games with this and it is a very good version of nymphomania.

Only a couple times have I had to resort to mitosis on a nymph... However, I can't think of something else I would put in mitosis's place either.
