*Note - I left the mark code in the deck because it drive me crazy every time I export a FG prediction deck and I forget to change the mark
I've been playing around with this deck since arena was in beta - and have made just under 60k score and a similar amount of electrum since then. In the couple hours it took me to make these wins I collected over 6k electrum - the deck makes money.
Pros of this deck:
- The deck is really fast to get its lock
- The deck has lots of denial tools - repeatable PC is huge
- EM's in platinum are not uncommon
Cons of this deck:
- The deck is weak to a popular deck type - immorush
- It is not rare for the deck to have "failure to launch"
- Games are long
Like a standard denial deck this deck attempts to shutdown your opponent's quanta production and starve them to death. I said this deck is really fast - and I meant it. The deck is capable of a turn 2 fractal and play of 4 Pests and an EQ - while that's not common it is an incredible speed to acquire a lock. Turn 3 or 4 is much more common - unfortunately with all that speed comes some inherent instability. As I said "failure to launch" is not uncommon - in any 30 card PSNdeck (Pendulum-Supernova) you have a 12.5% chance of not drawing a Supernova in your first 8 cards - add the fact that stall decks have key cards they need early and we're looking at possibly 20% of games where you don't get that early SN and Pest - however with the other denial tools you have available: Earthquake, Explosion & Pandemonium - you can often survive long enough to still acquire an early game lock and get the win. It tells you something about stability that I got my Platinum wins in 45 minutes - my bronze ones in about the same - and it took me 2 hours to get my wins in silver or gold.
Like most things in Elements this deck is a trade off - speed for stability - and game length for EM potential - games with this deck are long - the 2 vampires are the only damage cards in the deck - a fractal or 2 will give you a lot more of them - but you can't start to damage your opponent until you've drawn one of them - that said I only lost 1 game to being decked out while attempting this task. The trade off for a long game is that upwards of 80% of my wins are EM's - that at least is payoff for a game taking so long. The game does speed up slightly once you achieve lock - the AI has few cards it can play - its not all that uncommon to finish a game with the AI having not a single card in play - even in Platinum.
The biggest frustration with the deck is its vulnerability to immorush - I find I've been cycling the deck in my grinding rotation in Platinum and Gold - depending on what decks are prevalent each day. It's been feeling to me like there is a cycle between immorush decks and stall decks - this deck does very well facing stall decks - even firestall - but wins are hard to come by against immorush.
I hope the deck brings you cash and success in grinding in the arena!
