(1.27) CC? Why Bother? - unupped https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=23978.msg306336#msg306336

Full credit of this version goes to Amilir, as this is really an unupped version of a deck that has been posted and discussed at length on these forums:

The original deck posted here: (1.24) CC? Why bother? (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9545.0.html)

I wanted to make this available in a new post since the release of sanctuaries has afforded unupped players a solid opportunity to farm fg's with this deck as well as veterans using an upped version.

There has been some discussion on the order to up cards, so I will post here for new players:

1.  Convert 7 of your 16 quantum towers, drop your total towers down 14.

2.  Now you are ready to convert 6 Novas (Not in deck) to 6 Supernovas and simultaneously up 3 shards to 3 Shard of Gratitudes (farm these through T50)

3.  Convert Light mark to Entropy Mark, substitute your 6 Supernovas in for 6 Quantum Towers, drop your total towers down to 7 now, replace 3 Sanctuaries with SOGs (Now you are starting to look like the upped version of CCYB and are moving a lot faster).

4.  Next work on upping your queen and hourglasses, up a fractal if you'd like as well and replace mindgate.

5.  Work on the rest, probably starting with antimatters & shields and moving on from there.

I wish you could fit in some earth towers. I'm kinda leery about those. I might be completely wrong though.

At first I didn't see it, but now I get why you use Mindgate instead of Fractal - unupped Fireflies don't generate :fire quanta for you to effectively use Fractal on Lava golems :3

It seems to work ok because by the time you get a golem or two in play, that means your quanta flow is more than enough to power them and should be built up enough that you can play a pulvy as well.

That's right!  I would strongly consider dropping Mindgate altogether and adding two QTs, but Mindgate is just so fun.   :P  Upped CCYB's biggest concern is getting setup quickly enough to defend, and in the case of the unupped deck, this is an even larger concern.  Novas just aren't strong enough to replace a QT in terms of a long-run benefit.  It seems like almost an auto-quit if you don't draw at least 2 or 3 towers in your starting hand.

I promptly suggested your deck to my newbie friend and he was able to farm 4 SNovas in his first session, so it's not that big of a concern. This deck is really great, especially because of it's low requirement cost.

Cool little deck, although I'd suggest making your mark time and adding in another FFQ. You might be quantum strained for air early on, but I think 12 pillars kinda makes up for it. Although, with your 12 pillars now I'm not entirely sure how quantum strained you are for :time.

Either way +1 FFQ, just my suggestion. Maybe -1 EA since really you need to protect the pulvy is all. Golems do most of the damage and mindgate is useless if late, unless you want to EA a shield. I'm kinda out of it atm so this might not be the best advice :P

Have you considered adding Jade Shield and/or aflatoxin?

The only problem I see is maybe swap one pulvy for an eternity and the fact that those are both rare(and the miracle) kinda takes a lot of time to get.

Yeah, you can mix and match this deck similar to the upped version to your personal preference.

Cool little deck, although I'd suggest making your mark time and adding in another FFQ. You might be quantum strained for air early on, but I think 12 pillars kinda makes up for it. Although, with your 12 pillars now I'm not entirely sure how quantum strained you are for :time.

Time isn't too big of a problem, I actually find it a bit easier to power than the upped version at times with 12 QTs.  I wouldn't get rid of the :light mark because the biggest issue is getting your defenses set up early via sanc spam.  I believe this is the second most important card defensively, behind your frost shield.  As a compromise, you could try adding a time pillar or two.

I think the second EA is pretty important to protect your frost shield, even though it is a fairly low priority, you want to be able to place it by itself fairly early on.

The only problem I see is maybe swap one pulvy for an eternity and the fact that those are both rare(and the miracle) kinda takes a lot of time to get.
Two pulvys are pretty standard in CCYB.  The idea is that the other cards handle the creature spam and then the pulvies deal with perms.  If you start moving towards a timebow, you are drifting into the realm of other decks.  Entirely possible, just different from the goals/synergies of the other cards.  You would really eat into your time quanta by playing an eternity while trying to power your hourglasses.
