I'm new to the game and was recommended this deck. It is brilliant and has allowed me to farm pretty efficiently and get upgrades.

I mostly stuck to the recommended fights list at the top of the previous page but I also fought matches against Morte and Scorpio and skipped Rainbow and Seism but I was also a lot more inclined to skip gods with Explosions if I had a bad first few turns.
That still leaves a lot of gods this deck had a great chance to win against.

One thing I added that others talked about already was an improved purify- I won it early and thought "Oh hey let's use that" and I thought it was a nice addition.
it a) Gave me a chance for a lot more EM victories. b) is inexpensive and can be played early and may help delay the need to start your shield chain for a turn or two c) is immensely useful vs Serket, Scorpio and Morte.
Unimproved purify might be able to do a similar job with regards to points a) and c).
Yes, the water quanta might also be better used on an early flayer but overall I found that Purify earned it's place in the deck.

I think the deck also forces you to make choices- when to start a shield chain, whether to have a break in your chain, what and when to fractal. It is also stressful constantly checking those shields- I lost a few 'Won' games by letting the shield slip after enduring all sorts of stuff then just making one litte mistake :-[.

I think the rares are enough- 1x Miracle, 2x Pulverizer.
The upgraded Hourglasses and Miracle are definitely worth it but the deck doesn't fall apart without them.

In my experience using the deck it worked much better as a building block to CCYB then the unnuped CCYB itself
This deck needs to be added to the unupped FG Archives.
so I guess I could say you stole my thunder

4 more replies needed for this one to be Archive ready.

I'm going to guess that the lack of replies on this thread is because it's awesome enough as is.  Seriously, I've never heard a deck that gets suggested to newbies as much as this one.

I will vouch for this one as well, had fun playing it while I was slowly getting upgraded cards. Works much better than unupgraded CCYB in my opinion and also more fun.

Pretty much. Was playing around with this on an alt and it's pretty great, could use a purify maybe.

This deck is great and with a purify is really good (for the odd EM win).

Anyway I seem to be in a kind of unlucky streak at the time, losing against easy FG moslty becase either in half deck I did not manage to draw a shield or because even with 4-5 pillars down it seems I can't get any Time quanta (seeing how important is the hourglass in this deck it is quite frustrating).
