The FG i can't beat is Hermes (0-12). Against DM (1-8) most of the time i get relatively close to turning the corner to beating him. Against Hermes i just get completely wiped every time. Also Eternal Phoenix is a giant pain as well. It's just like War... owning everything.

Fire owns these types of rainbows in general, just because it's such a fast rusher and slows you by exploding permanents. I feel your pain, Hermes seems like a perfect counter to this deck with his fast growing damage.

Everybody has there own build but I'm a complete advocate of adding 2 more towers and a third frost after testing this for about 100 games.  Its all about getting early quanta and the normal 1 tower 1 nova draw just doesnt cut it.  After adding the extra towers and frost I only lost one game, to osiris, against all the creature rush gods in 100 games.  Obviously I'm still getting destroyed by dark matter, and rainbow but i dont think anything is gonna change that.  Strangely I'm 5-2 against Hermes, go figure.

If you can keep a perm shield out and quint a destroyer, hermes is beatable.  I beat him once and came close several more times.  The perm shield can hut heim a lot.  Graviton is the god that really sucks since he puts momentum on everything, making your perm shield useless and has explosions to blow everything up.

Graviton builds his damage slower though, and only has 4 explosions, so yeah it depends. A lot depends on the luck of when he gets his momentum's/creatures. If he gets oty's first with his momentum's he uses them on the oty's and only gets 1 unblocked damage. If he can only get 1-2 gravitons momentum'd he's very beatable.

For people saying they deck out because of getting a late destroyer, here is a game where I got my first destroyer with 7 cards left, fractal was 3rd to last, and other destroyer was 2nd to last, and I still won (barely ).

Puffer Fish is going to have a higher attack so Scorpio and Elidnis will be harder (permafrost shield won't stop it anymore).

I've decked out once vs Neptune. Both of my quints were the last 2 cards so it basically gave me no chance to win. Quite a few times Neptune can be a counting game depending where your cards lie.

I've never really understood people's complaints about decking out with this deck though. I can only think of maybe 2-3 occurances where I decked out. 2 were against decay, and one against miracle. I dont think I've ever decked out with this deck other than that... maybe I've just been lucky .

I've added a 3rd (yeah, I know) lava destroyer and haven't had a deckout problem so far.  It's still possible to deckout on some false gods if your quints are at the bottom.  And a single heal can easily take the place of bond+miracle, in my opinion.  Anyway, here's my current version...

I always use 2 Quints
