I was stating, running a 'deck' based on pure luck is annoying, when unlike the Vets, I dont get that good luck constantly.
Wait what? Since when did lady luck discriminate based on how long someone has been playing an children's online card game?

Of course R2 will be different. That's the whole point in my posts.
So i'll be more explicit: R2 will be better. Much better. Get over it.

'Much better'? Pft. I'll believe it when I get my card packs.

The decks are bad for everyone, that's what makes it both challenging and equal at the same time. Being able to face each other next round is going to make things much more interesting :)

Just my experiences with MMOs and this game as well. Veterans always seem to have the better luck. Before it gets out of hand, I know it doesn't work that way. Call it bias. Call it jealousy, what have you. It's just how I've come to know it. It being luck. I understand the fact that it's fun. Yeah, it looked fun when I signed up too, I anticipated it plenty, but after this round and seeing how badly luck based it is, without much chance of it getting better, the lucky one's are going to get ahead, everyone else just suffers. That doesn't seem like much fun to me.
The decks are bad for everyone, that's what makes it both challenging and equal at the same time. Being able to face each other next round is going to make things much more interesting :)
Maybe it's my fault for taking the game to seriously.. but someone has to at least see my side of it. I'll see what R2 brings me.

... You know what else is 'rags'? Starting a new elements account, but even that has a chance to win. This isnt rags, this is homeless, living naked in some dark damp alley, constantly getting beat by people walking through there. (NPCs) But whatever. ...

hmm, sorry, but without ever making those rags to riches experience, my view is exactly that! you will face a lot of bad and arrogant people better than you and letting you feel this... but you have to be though and go through, your way, never stay and every time willng3 to make more and more money to someday sit in a chair far above those big as***les and showing them what they are, only crap... but as said, first you have to wait in the wings to grab your chance and makes one step after another to gain wealth! waiting in the backyard smoking a cigarette in your lunchtime, between garbage and rats, till someday a big baldy man with melone comes and is going to give you an offer you cant refuse......... waitwhat.... thats the mafiosi theme... nvm!  8)
starting with a new account for me isnt rags... its a normal education born in some kind of middelclass... your way is given and you follow a central theme (your element chosen).

just my 2 :electrum
PS: i love that event and as a "vet" (if youre vet if you play a lot of games since a lot of time) i like to feel some kind of randomness and luckbased games, where luck doesnt mean to get one of my four discords in the first 8 cards. here its true luck, rng has no real chance of making things going totaly wrong here with only 1 card of each.  8)

I think that as this event progresses, we'll see less of an emphasis on luck and more of an emphasis on skill. Let's face it, this first round was pretty much based on whatever cards you got. There were a lot of vets who went 0-3 against the NPS's, and there were a few noobs who whooped the NPC's on their first try. There were some people who got bad cards and won anyway somehow, and some who got good cards and lost.

But in later rounds, it'll come down to who made the best card buying decisions with the resources available, and who was able to put together the best piece of crap deck possible, and that my friends takes skill.

Overall though: This event is for FUN. If you don't like it, don't play. I for one welcome this challenge. ^_^
