I think that as this event progresses, we'll see less of an emphasis on luck and more of an emphasis on skill. Let's face it, this first round was pretty much based on whatever cards you got. There were a lot of vets who went 0-3 against the NPS's, and there were a few noobs who whooped the NPC's on their first try. There were some people who got bad cards and won anyway somehow, and some who got good cards and lost.
But in later rounds, it'll come down to who made the best card buying decisions with the resources available, and who was able to put together the best piece of crap deck possible, and that my friends takes skill.
Overall though: This event is for FUN. If you don't like it, don't play. I for one welcome this challenge. ^_^
