PlayerOa is having major Internet issues.
Can I suggest that whenever nielsie vs kuro match is done, Oa is assume to lose both matches since this won't affect the standings at all except for him if he would get 3 victories over majofa and blarp.  That would lead him to a tie with blarp.. and with the match ahead by blarp, seems fair blarp get the nod.  Of course the better option is that Oa gets a good connection back and can play his 2 games, I do not wish him out of this at all, but I'm sure most wanna move on with this event.

so thats the sadness of giving extensions... making things faster in first 2 weeks, those issues could have probably not occur... waiting till the last is still a bad choice and makes things nasty... give it to all to let their matches happen, OR never give extension and be hard by ruling!

I actually agree with mrpaper here. Chances are very small I get three wins vs both blarp and majofa, so if I haven't played whenever the other groups are finished, I propose blarp and majofa earns the victories vs me (3-1 and 3-0 respectively). In addition to this my internet issues does not seem to get better at this moment, but who knows when it'll recover.

Me giving blarp and majofa the victories seems like the best solution for all parts, and I do not want to stall this longer.

OK time's up, here's my match result dump:

against mrpaper (2-3):

game 1 (win):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7al 7al 8pn

He had a mono death rush. Completely non-interactive game, we just both played our stuff and mrpaper died first. His initial draw was a little better than mine but I had won the cointoss and he hit a pillarbag end of game.

game 2 (win):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5up 5up 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 7t8 7t8 7tb 7tb 7tc 7tc 7tc 7tc 8pt

He had a mono Fire deck (without Immos). I really only won this due to crazy luck with my Dusk Mantle - my draw was much worse than his, way too few pillars for me and he came out really fast with a bunch of Minor Phoenixes and a Fahrenheit. However his Fahrenheit hit only once all game out of like 7 tries, and his other big hitter, a dragon that attacked twice before I was able to siphon it, also missed both. In the end I was still sitting comfortably at 40 something HP when I won despite my subpar draw.

game 3 (loss):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

This deck might have had a slightly better chance against his Ghostmare if I had drawn a Morning Star, but as it was, his Eternity meant gg immediately.

game 4 (loss):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 5ro 5ro 5ro 5ru 5ru 5ru 5ru 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7qa 7qe 7qe 7ri 8ps

He played mono Water Nymph spam against which Eternity would have won immediately, but I could not find one. Was a real tease too as mrpaper was initially nymphless, but he drew one right before I had my Eternity, so I lost.

game 5 (loss):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

He played a Pulverizer stall - not the best matchup, having all the Nymphs in the bottom half of the deck didn't help either.

against Onizuka (3-0):

game 1:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 7gk 7gk 7gn 7gn 7gn 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

He had a mono Gravity rush. A close race which a timely Congeal tipped in my favour.

game 2:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5up 5up 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 7t8 7t8 7tb 7tb 7tc 7tc 7tc 7tc 8pt

Mono Darkness mirror, but I drew all the good cards - Dagger, Shield, Steals, and he drew his Eclipse.

game 3:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7al 7al 8pn

He had a Graboid rush with Eternity. His Eternity came down pretty quickly but I still managed to win mainly thanks to my Jade Staff.

against Vangelios (3-0):

He had an Air-Sancstall. Normally pretty difficult for my deck but he bricked on Wings so I won.

game 2:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7al 7al 8pn

He had a Water-Earth stall (without actual Earth cards, just some pillars for Trident and Nymph's Tears). He manage to slow me down with Trident, Ice Shield and an Earth Nymph but couldn't kill me fast enough through my Jade Staff which slowly killed him along with a couple creatures, even though they could only attack for one turn.

game 3:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5up 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 7t4 7t8 7t8 7tb 7tb 7tc 7tc 7um 8pt

He had a Ghost - Graboid rush with EQs and Eternity. Here the Dusk-Dagger combo reared its op head again - he destroyed nearly all my pillars, and I couldn't play any creatures into his Eternity, but he could not damage me at all either while my dagger was pecking at him for 6 HP a turn. All I had to do was Drain away a few of his creatures and play a couple Dragons for the final damage.

against RavingRabbid (0-3):

game 1:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7al 7al 8pn

He had a mono Gravity with Otyughs that ate all my stuff, so I lost.

game 2:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 7gk 7gk 7gn 7gn 7gn 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

He had a Tridentdeck with Squids and managed to stop my offense when he was still on 20+ HP. Then he had a few more creatures too and won.

game 3:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 5ro 5rs 5ru 5ru 5ru 5ru 5t2 5t2 5t2 5up 5up 5up 5v1 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7ri 7ri 7tb 8pt

He had a mono Darkness with Dagger-Dusk combo that I couldn't steal because of Cloaks. Was a close one but I could not get through in the end before his Dragons killed me.

against RootRanger (3-2):

game 1 (win):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 5ro 5rs 5ru 5ru 5ru 5ru 5t2 5t2 5t2 5up 5up 5up 5v1 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7ri 7ri 7tb 8pt

Again vs a mono Darkness but RootRanger had no Cloaks. A nice game, he got off to a quick lead but I managed to struggle back with my Hourglass, stealing and rewinding his stuff and finally winning on 0 cards left in deck.

game 2 (loss):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink

He had an Earth-Light stall with early Diamond Shield which I could not quite get through.

game 3 (loss):

Deck import code : [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7al 7al 8pn

He had a Fire rush with Immos and was just a little bit faster than me, winning the cointoss and finishing on 9 HP.

game 4 (win):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
55k 55k 55k 55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 561 561 561 561 576 5og 5og 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 75m 8pr

Catatitan mirror, but my draw was basically ideal while his was very slow, so I won easily.

game 5 (win):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5la 5ld 5ld 5lh 5lh 5li 5li 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 7ju 7ju 7ju 7ju 7ju 7ju 7k2 7k2 8pq

He had a Time rush with Eternity and splashed Purifies. I thankfully had my Morning Star this time and so my Angels were able to punch through his RTs and Eternity quickly enough.

Oof this was quite the pain in the ass to write, I had nearly forgotten everything after overtime went for so long. Anyway good games everyone and on to the next round! :)

PlayerOa's internet connection has still been sketchy, and to prevent delaying the event, he has agreed to concede his final two matches. (He will not be punished for doing so).

The next round will be up today or tomorrow, after I check all the decks.

You may post your decks now.

He used a nymph's tears/trident deck.  I got all 6 of my chaos powers before I drew a single dune.  Needless to say, that was... not good.  He thought I'd hard countered him again; he'd even said so midgame, but RNG had other plans.

With him only having light left, I figured this should beat anything he could do.  Calin was very smart and used crusaders in monolight (!) just to endow off of the vamps he deduced was my best choice, so it was a closer game than I thought it would've been.

He had a monoearth stall using upped pulverizers and gravity mark.  I had a really slow draw.  He got a pulvy out before I got a poseidon out.  Been awhile, but if memory serves, I had a 1 tower draw.  I think I'd have won this matchup more often than not.

I thought this would counter almost anything kev had left.  Sadly, I did not even consider the deck he used, nor that he would have so many light nymphs... I was hard countered, and conceded once he had a hope shield strong enough to block my endowed crusaders.

I predicted (correctly, as it turns out) that kev would use something with bone walls.  I figured he'd either try that, probably something poison-based, and so I went with UGs, thinking that would bypass bone walls quite easily.  It turned out that I got poor RNG and was quanta flooded, coupled with a rather nasty thunderstorm, and then got stuck with only 3 UGs all game, drawing the 3rd on the last turn, but he had something like 64hp left anyway.

I figured Jen-I would probably use a mono in game 1, so I picked the earthquake deck.  Jen-I apparently had the same line of thought.  Sadly, I drew only 1 earthquake all game, and Jen-I had won the coin toss and opened with 2x pillar 2x earth mark :p  I quaked the marks and then he played a 3rd mark next turn.  His basilisk bloods were faster than my auburn nymphs, and he drew enough of them that he froze all my shriekers and then two more auburns when I figured he probably didn't have any more left in hand.

I don't remember what I was expecting Jen-I to use, but it was not the blue nymph deck that I faced.  (I think I picked this deck as a kind of generic answer)  Fortunately for me, Jen-I had no actual UGs, just nymphs, so my OEs kept the nymphs down and Jen-i never had enough gases to kill me.  (I had this same matchup vs spielkind, except he had a bunch of gases, and I lost)

This game played out really, really weird, if memory serves.  I'm not really sure how I won, particularly given an almost identical game with spielkind later.  I know I got like 5 pandes in the top half of my deck, and I remember the first two basically did nothing :p  The later ones were pretty effective though, freezing and loboing and other goodstuffs.  I think I'd have lost this matchup most of the time, and got lucky here.

Looking at what Jen-I had left, I felt that this should succeed against pretty much anything, although I thought deja luci hope might be problematic, which was why I used all 6 siphon lifes and a nymph for loboing.  I think I countered the time deck pretty hard even in average circumstances, but I remember that I had a near-perfect draw this game, and Jen-I had no chance against it.

Basically, see game 1 of the jen-i match, only this time I won cointoss and had the better hand :p  Turn 2 I EQed 3 pillars from spielkind, and he did the same to me.  However, I still had 1 tower, and it took him another turn to get another pillar.  After the earthquake, I played 2 elite graboids, and spielkind only had elite antlions for creatures all game.  I'm sure he had graboids or elite graboids, since he had a time mark, but he never got any.

As all I needed was 1 win to clinch 3rd place in group A, I'm no longer stressed by this point.  (If he'd won all 3 games after this, we'd be tied for points but I'd have a better record of 3-1 vs 2-2)  However, I know if I can win 3/5 that I'll have first (since it will be a 3-way tie for 1st at 10 pts and I already beat both jen-i and calin)

Basically, see game 3 of the jen-i match, only this time it played out more like I would have expected it to.  I had no real chance here, either.  At this point, I'm rather amused that we've basically had the same three matches that I had with jen-i, and had the opposite result in all 3 of them.  I had picked the same decks for spielkind because with jen-i, I had analyzed quite carefully between matches what was left for him to use (it took several minutes each time :p) and based my next deck on that, so when spielkind kept using the same elements, I responded just as I had with jen-i, only with no thinking time.  For game 4, I also used the same deck I used in game 4 with Jen-i, only this time spielkind finally diverged from what Jen-i did.

I think I had a fair matchup in this one, but I had a great draw.  I got 2 steals in my opening hand and the 3rd one soon after, while spielkind had a 1 pillar start, and I stole it.  That slowed his death production down quite a bit.  I stole his second bone pillar, and then stole his arsenic when he played that.  By the time he finally got a bone wall up, I had 8 poison counters on him, and I finished him with 2 siphon lifes.  All game, I'd been wondering where the heck my devourers were... I was thinking they would've been really awesome against his low quanta start.  I figured it out after the game, lol.

Props to Kev for giving me the idea for this one :)  I figured it should do very well against anything he had left.  We desynced quite early, but not even my AI could screw up this matchup.  His only chance would've been an earlier eternity than he got, but he didn't get it until the 2nd last turn or so.

I've checked all the decks for Groups A, B, and D and there was only one illegal deck, but it didn't affect the outcome of the matches.

It was game 1 of Spielkind vs kev.... Spielkind used Reverse Time in a game he won. Always remember to play hard until the end!
