So.

Let me get this straight.
I tried to get every match done before the deadline.
I also succedeed, except for blarp who basically said "meh, whatevs, we'll face one day or another. I'm so busy."
I played RootRanger at 1 AM, going well out of the comfortable timeslot to play to get this game done, because I had no idea if I could make it again any time soon.
AND YOU WANT AN EXTENSION.

I demand for everyone to see proof for every match that will get extended time, to see if there is any real reason to extend.

Given the number of games still left to play, an extension is pretty much necessary to maintain the integrity of the event.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been in chat pretty much every day since the round started.  Majofa and I are ready to play sometime tonight.  I haven't seen 10 men at all, but I know he's in a much different time zone from me, and we'll probably need a weekend to get a time that fits us both, though he wasn't on last weekend either that I saw.  Deuce is usually on a lot, but I haven't seen him lately except when he was afk, and I sent some messages to him in chat about it but he didn't respond.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the world championship isn't 'the world speedbuilding championship', so having it last awhile isn't a problem.

In general, I would agree with everyone that deadlines should not be extended.

However, I am still in war, and while it is only one match (not including support), I have spent all of my available time these last 4 days focusing on this match and preparing our vault for future rounds in case we lose. Other than looking at what my opponents used last round, I have done zero prep for round 2 because of my focus on war. I will have like a 4 hr window tonight to maybe get matches done before the deadline. But that is my excuse for wanting an extension. I was quite surprised to see WC start during the middle of war, it really should have waited til war finished, imo.

It was actually later than intended, as I've stated before. 2013 WC will take place during November and December.

With the withdrawal of blarp from the WC, there will be a slight change to how 3rd place finishers are handled:

For 3rd place finishers in each group, all points from Round 1 and 2 will be added together.
The one with the most points will be automatically placed into the top 8. The other 2 will battle for the final spot.
