PvP World Championship 2014 - Qualified Players

If I didn't miss anything, dragonsdemesne is the only person who has gotten three tournament wins since the last PVPWC who didn't win Trials.

I haven't been keeping track, so I don't know how many I have, but given my activities, unless the league previous to the current one counts, I have nothing else that could qualify me to date.  I didn't even enter trials

Like majofa said. There aren't only 14 positions this trials, there are more to be added soon.

If I could be given the dates of tournaments that we count from, I could very easily determine who is eligible, thanks to the unofficial PVP Achievement Leaderboard work I did.

(same for assembling BL/CL qualified players - just tell me what seasons count and how many places, and I can write that up super quick).

In my opinion rules need a minor change for league qualifications.

A third place only isn't enough to qualify for this event IMO.
Maybe it's possible to count in points:

• You need 3 points to qualify for WC.
• First place gets 3 points.
• Second place 2 points.
• Third place 1 point.

Maybe possible for 2015...

a tourney win could also = 1 point... as 3 wins already qualifies you... you could combine league +tourney so a 3 place in bl + 2 tourney could get you in. 

But maybe I am making it too easy?

I disagree a lot of this suggestion, 2nd or 3rd place in a league is very more hard than the simple qualify like this one:

I don't like the idea of mixing up points. My suggestion was only for leagues. I still think you need three tourney wins. Or WIN a pvp event. So one tourney win and a second place in a league isn't enough. Same for the WC points Afdarenty has suggested.

I agree with Vangelios. IMO more requirements are needed to join the qualifiers tourney.

The idea was to make it more difficult to get an "invitation" for this event to increase the competition in the next league season.

If we start to count points for all events, leagues and tourneys, then nearly everybody can join.

The system I mentioned would allow one player not currently qualified in this season, if I didn't miscount., and that would be mrpaper.  It would also eliminate several players: myself, MegroN, Submachine, rem4life, worldwideweb3, and pwconfirm.

As a result, my system is actually more difficult, not less, to qualify under.
