Wings owned me; had him down to 29hp, then wings came up as expected, and I couldn't get any icebolts, though I'd have needed at least 2 of them. I was pretty much hard countered in this game. If tree had bottomdecked most of his wings, and if I'd gotten some icebolts (I never drew any of them) I might've had a chance, but it was a brutal matchup, and he'd win this as he did the vast majority of the time.

Once I got 20 fire quanta, i could bolt his adrenastaffs. jade shield slowed me down some, but I got 5 phoenixes and 1 fahren in first 18 cards, so I won that way instead. It's been awhile, but I think the fire in his deck was for rain of fire/firestorm, which did slow the phoenixes down. I think I had a pretty good advantage in this one; I think his best chance would be if I'd been quanta screwed and taken too long to bolt staffs.

I got a turn 2 arsenic, and he got none of his heavy hitters besides a morning glory, and he didn't anticipate my OTK with bolts. Desiccation is also extremely mean against RoLs :p If he'd gotten a huge quanta draw and lots of heavy attackers, and I had no bonewall he might've had a chance, but I think I had a strong advantage here, much as he did in game 1.

Dimshield psiontal vs lightning psiontal. I get quanta and 5/6 useless dims in the top half of deck; he gets perfect draw. I was hoping he was doing dragons when i see MA, as that would've been instawin, but after he plays the first psion and fractals it, I play my lone psion and it gets bolted. The possibility of dragon/blitz OTK or arsenic had me tense all game, but with his early owl's eye showing, I figured he probably didn't have arsenic to build up poison on me, which could've been rather bad. I don't think he had a deck that could reliably beat what I used here, other than something with OTK capability. I remember that both my nymphs and the fractal were in the bottom 4-5 cards or so; I'm not sure if I won by damage or deckout anymore.

I predict huge light stall, he goes with pegasus/angel/blessing rush, and I get 1 sanc out of all my healing and a lot of quanta. I cast 2 cards all game, sanc and a thorn carapace the turn i die. This game basically comes down to guessing whether rob will rush or stall; I can hard counter either one if i guess right, but I probably lose if I guess wrong, and I guess wrong. I'd probably have gone with the stall in his shoes, so that's what I assumed he'd do, and it cost me.

A one pillar draw has me worried, but i see him playing UG, so I know if i get a shield I win. I get a shield in time, and he's doomed. I don't remember why I thought he'd use a UG deck, but I remember thinking he would, hence the jade shields, and it was a good choice, as it turned out.

I never got any UGs all game, but I had a turn 2 EE and turn 3 dragon due to a 6 pillar start. The EE seemed to deter him from doing anything except a late azure dragon, the only other card he played was a wings that did nothing. I got all 4 dragons and the staff early, but couldn't outdamage his healing/dims. This game was literally decided by coin toss; we both had 40 card decks, but I lost the toss. I had pretty much the best possible draw I could have asked for, but I still couldn't outdamage him. This matchup was about a 51/49 chance; it was cointoss 99% of the time, with the other 1% being Blacksmith getting an extremely bad draw and me getting one much like I had here, as he had no damage sources.

He used psiontal, but apparently without dims or lightning, and so his psions never get to hit me more than once, plus i never draw the dead permafrosts, which was a definite boon. This was a pretty close game, if memory serves. I can't remember how RNG treated us, other than not getting my useless shields, but I'm pretty sure I only won by about 1-2 turns.

This was quite literally one of the most retarded games of Elements I have EVER played. (no offense to mrpaper, it had nothing to do with him) Coming on the backs of two match losses that I felt had been below average RNG for me, I was extremely pissed off to see that my opening hand had one quanta out of 15 sources. I was even more pissed off when I saw mrpaper play trident on his second turn. However, because of mrpaper's elemental choices, I had used wings instead of fog shield in my UG deck, which is slightly unusual for me. It proved to be extremely effective in this case. I saw that mrpaper had lost the coin toss, so I immediately abandon any chance of killing him with damage (because I'll never get enough quanta for 5 UGs, or 4 + OE, or whatever) and decide I'll try to chain wings forever, and pray that he has no way around it.
I draw a second pillar 2 turns later, but I wait to play it until paper tridents the lone pillar I had to start. I do the same with every pillar I get. When I get the mark, I save it in hand until I get a pillar to play with it, and I do the same for the tower. (although as it turned out, I could've won had I had 15 unupped pillars) I discard every card that isn't either quanta or wings. When my hp got low, I play the first wings. I then sit on my ass for 5 turns, and play the second wings. Repeat until deckout... Like I said, absolutely retarded game :p

Paper was using a monodeath rush with bonewalls, which limited my damage too much; they countered me pretty good.
