I think generally the base idea of the tourney was good. At least I liked the fun in ruining your opponent's
deck then getting back your ruined one and figure out how to fix it and how your opponent will react.
Even better you could trick your opponent to remove certain cards and have the backup plan for that.
But the tourney got very loooong. Ppl may had premade decks, but it still took ages to send in changes
then fix decks.
As for myself all in all it was maybe my most painful tourney experience. Most of the games looked like
that I made good removes/changes had a good battle plan, then my opponent drew that 1 copy early which was left
in the deck, or 2 copies early if I left 2 copies... Horrid rng experience, lost with very good win chance decks
multiple times.

He brought the expectable phoenixbolt, but I didn't care about mindgating so just threw in sopa squid
toadies into the mix. My squids got removed, while I removed 4 fire bolts and 2 deflags. Added extra OE,
dragonflies and Fogs to my deck. Fogs worked quite well, OE was good too, but he drew his only Deflag...
Oddly enough he deleted the OE, I think he was scared of my damage, because he was running Wings
and his Fahren didn't come early game. When it arrived it was only a matter of time when will I get
pummeled by it. Sadly he drew Fire Bolts too, to kill off my Dragonflies... (which were bypassing Wings, too).

He played another mono (it was advisable to play them, more flexibility to change cards), this time aether.
I really had to get rid of dims, because I had a mono life deck. So 5 dims (ofc he drew the 1 left there)
and 1 fractal removed from him, meanwhile I had to say bye-bye to my 6 upped froggies. Added Jades
to troll Psions and some Storms to troll possible Spiders. Thinking about
www expected the previous
and added 4 Lobos. Thankfully I drew one of my Jades earlier than he his Lobos. This was lucky. Other than
that his deck seemed kinda slow, I sorta feel it would have been winnable for me even with early lobo.

I expected him to play Bolts again, but somehow I ignored that again. So just played Ghostmare.
Not too surprisingly I had my 5 NMs and 1 RT removed. This time I removed 3 bolts, 1 fahren and 2 deflags.
Didn't matter. Despite the fact I had draw power with my nymphs, I didn't have a single Dusk... In 17 cards...

Oh, boy, this is where the "fun" really started. I tried to disable his Patient Wardens by removing 3 Tridents (he had 4)
and 2 EQs (had 4) plus 1 SoPa (had 2). Now it was my time to play Phoenixbolt, which got a bit disabled without 4 FBs and 2 Fahrens.
Knowing he won't have much hp critters without SoPa I added some CC stuff: 4 RPs and 2 EEs. Air quanta was a bit
low, because this time I didn't do a 1:1 pillar-pend ratio, thinking I will need less quanta for the mark.
Needless to say he had quickly both of his Squids in hand. Not much later he had both of his EQs... -.- I had an EE in hand,
but didn't get any pends until like T8. So doing damage was very slow. Having many RPs I planned on getting rid of squids
and wardens then start playing Phoenixes. Needless to say not only he had that 2 squids early in hand, but had also 2 wardens,
later 3, then 4. Meanwhile I had to bolt down a Nymph Queen. Other FB with ALL 4 RPs ducked in the deck. Last 10 cards.
Thanks. Then another Nymph appeared, and despite my deflagging it got followed by others. Still lost only by 2 hps. Infuriating.

He sent me pdials (without sod), I sent him a modified monolife. Removed 4 of his Arsenics (had 5... he obviously forced me to remove those)
and 2 SoSacs (1 upped, 1 unupped). Buffed my life mono into a typical fire duo (bye, Sundials
). And imagine what. One unupped SoSac
left in his deck. He drew it with 49 hps on....... Just some extra fun that he drew 7 of his pillars (from 10) enabling him to put on some
damage in the form of mummies, but I was able to outdamage him.

Played Ghostmare again, but with 1 extra pillar this time. He sent me mono aether. Simply removed the psions (5 from 6) and a thunderbolt.
My deck got rekt again by -5NM and -1RT. He came on with an aether-time duo (maybe to honor this war?
). His early Mindgate was rudely stolen.
I think you can guess what happened: he drew his only Psion around T5. -.- Luckily fractalling it was a bit late, and I was able to win. One "fun" thing:
I was mentally completely zeroed by that time, 1 AM, hard day etc. and when I wanted to RT his Psion I accidentally put the RT on my Nymph...
These are the moments when your conscious part says bye-bye and only automatisms left... and you just simply watch the screen for a very long
moment thinking... where the heck am I what the heck has just happened? Did I really do that??

So yeah, that is something I will never do again. Zya sent me a weak SoR Eggs QP Nova deck. And I was like "if I remove Novas it'll be like instant
game over". So I spared her. Removed SoRs. Wanted to have some fun game. Made a dims mindgate stuff, she ofc removed dims plus 1 oe, but there are
lightnings in
you know. Half deck out, never drew a single Mindgate. Fun experience.

I was tired and pissed again not to overthink. Phoenixbolt then. She removed my Phoenixes, I replaced them with Seraphs and 2 reflects.
Her SoFree mono got smaller by 3 SoFrees, 3 Damsels. Guess what. She almost insta had 2 SoFrees. Had the 3rd SoFree midgame.
Though it didn't mean much protection (killed off 2 Wyrms with fbs), extra damage did hurt. Oh and yeah, I had 10 pill / 4 pends, guess my hand:
1 pill / 2 pends. THANKS. Barely had any quanta to play everything, not to hope in fireballing... before dealing lethal damage she just clutched
a miracle...
