Weekly Tournament - January 3rd - Old Habits Die Hard - Semi-upgraded

Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before joining the tournament. Remember to also read the Special Rules listed below!

Prizes 1st place 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark Code+ Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd place 1/3 Nymph/Mark Code 3rd place 1/6 Nymph/Mark Code 4th place 1/9 Nymph/Mark Code In case of 8 or more players, tournament prizes will be increased.

NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.


NOTE: Tournament prizes has changed! Electrums are outdated, you can collect fractions of a Nymph/Mark Code by placing 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Here is the Google Sheet where you can follow your progress.

Special Rules

• This is a semi-upgraded tournament. Maximum upgrade count is 8.
  
  
• Before each game you must send the code of your deck to your opponent. Then your opponent is allowed
  to remove 1/5 of your deck (rounded up). Only non-PPM cards are removable. You must replace these cards with different non-PPM cards.
  (To make things fair you will possibly have to send your decks to a third, non-competing party, who will send
  you your opponent's deck after getting yours.)

• A maximum of 10 QPs/QTs allowed per deck.
  
  
• You may change your mark when adding new cards instead of those removed by your opponent.
  
  
• Other than these you cannot change your deck in any other ways (including - but not limited to - you cannot
  change which cards are upgraded/unupgraded).
  
  
• I know it is tempting to give crap versions of stock decks to your opponents, but THAT IS FORBIDDEN.
  
  
• No bans for this tournament.

Q: May I replace 3 Phase Salvagers + 3 Ball Lightnings with 3 Ball Lightnings and 3 Phase Salvagers?

This is just a completely random idea, sprung from my head quickly. I bet there must be problems. Tell me if you find something which needs urgent fixing.
I know it is hard to determine what is a "intentionally worse version of deck, which can be much better with some replacements", I'm open to ideas.
Maybe we can list here an optimal version of usable stock decks in this tourney.

hypothetically, if 3 sparks and 3 salvagers are removed, can the sparks be replaced by salvagers and vice verse?
