IMPORTANT NOTE!

Starting times for tourneys have been standardized. A fixed time makes it easier for planning for everyone. Of course we can change a specific date/time by popular demand.

There is no specific schedule/order for unupgraded/semi-upgraded/upgraded tourneys - the upgrades of the current tourney is decided while making the rules. :)

After a few months of waiting, the prize codes from July 13th to September 28th are finally distributed! Please check if your codes work as intended, as mistakes might happen when copy-pasting hundreds of entries. If you encounter any problems please PM me (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=27) or other TOs immediately.

Some quick news, I have sent out every missing code dating back from October 19th, and they were sent by tournament, so if you won more than one code (I'm looking at you, dragon, getting first place in three tourneys in four weeks), they will come in different PMs. If you were sent an invalid code, please PM me and list the code or codes in your message. If you are still missing a code, please PM me and give us TOs some time to figure things out.

Edit: For first placers, the first code listed is the Mark/Nymph Code + 5k electrum (the second listed being your extra 2k electrum). For third placers, the first code listed is 3k electrum, the second code listed is 1k electrum.

Quick News: After a month we found it better not to post any tournaments until the servers get fixed. This way neither the possible participants nor the TOs have to stay up late for nothing. Once the servers are alright again, we will continue with a GMT +2 unupgraded tournament, which will probably be Trigger Happy (or an other special celebrative tournament).

Quick News: PvP is finally back again, so we could finish the Trigger Happy tournament, the tournament with the longest delay in ElementsCommunity's History (from april 5 to june 14, a new record!). To celebrate the comeback of our weekly PvP event, the first new tourney came out with a special format.

Because of the long delay, the tournament cycle was resetted. To see the actual times of future tournaments, the monthly schedule is now updated to reflect the correct times of the incoming events.

Effective immediately, no more tournaments will start in the 04:00 - 09:00 GMT time period due to a consistently low amount of participants. We hope this will diminish the amount of postponements required in the future. Soon(tm), rotation will be adjusted accordingly (+6, +6, +7 over the remaining 18 hours). Instead of focusing on only running tournaments with the highest turnout -which could soon restrict itself to a very small time frame- we'll be trying to instead run a full 48 hour rotation across Saturday and Sunday. Experiments for running double elimination tournaments with 4-7 people might take place to prevent postponements, though still no promises on the rewards for them.

Other changes might take place depending on how things turn out.

Made a ton of tiny changes to the rules, be sure to check them out! To those regularly visiting tournaments: the rule changes were basically things that were already upheld/ignored by the TO. For example, rules listed players dropping out leading to whomever they most recently beat advancing. This has been removed since people that are eliminated generally leave chat shortly after.

The "warnings and bans" section about x minor or normal warnings within timespan y leading to ban z has been removed. Be assured: serious cheaters will still be perma-banned and rule violations add up mentally, but there just isn't any record of warnings that "expire" after a given time. I don't even remember there ever being a record of them, and I sure never added someone to it. TOs are still entitled to give out appropriate disciplinary measures to match the magnitude of a rule violation, though.

We added semiupgraded tournaments to the schedule. They will never require you to run fully upgraded decks (not even to stay competitive), but will often encourage you to use a few of them.

The following symbol will indicate a semiupgraded tournament in the schedule: ☑

For now we will try it out in place of the usual unupgraded tournament 2 weeks after an upgraded tournament.

Tournament Organizers have been experiencing a lack of workforce lately, hence the late reward codes and the less diverse meta.

With the help of the new Council, the late reward codes have been sent out and a hiring will start in the following months to refresh the missing spots. Until then, development of the new reward system stops, stand-in hosts are welcome to all tournaments, tournament ideas are welcome to diversify the meta, reward codes will be sent out more frequently with the help of the Council, and if possible, encouragement and appreciation would also help to motivate the remaining organizers. :)

For full transparency, I am no longer a TO starting from this week. Nothing serious happened, I just need a long break. I might apply again in 2020, but only time can tell how it will be.~
