The recent tourney (Winning war like a champ) was a cool concept - selecting and adapting decks from a marquee event.  Applying this tourney concept to trials decks would be similarly enjoyable.

-Before tourney begins, players must choose to be an organic gardener or not. Choices made public; cannot change
-Organic gardeners may use organic aids but not poisonous aids
-Non-organic gardeners may use poisonous aids but not organic aids
-Quantum pillar banned; other PPMS allowed; any mark allowed
-Any cards not listed below are banned

Semi-upgraded rules:
1. Players get 3 starting upgrades
2. For each unique type of gardener's tools and/or companion creatures in deck, allow one additional deck upgrade (ex: 3 Antlions and 5 Gnome riders and 2 Ice Shields = 3 unique types = 3 additional deck upgrades)
3. For each copy of shard of patience, reduce deck upgrades by 3

We will use this as our next Semi-Upgraded tournament.

Two rather random rulesets without an overlying theme. Those ideas are probably more suited for League but here they are:

Everyone chooses one element and gets two more random elements.
Everyone gets two bans per match.
No monos.


Everyone gets three random cards.
They have to use at least 2 of those cards with at least three copies each.

I have an idea for a New Year tournament.

• Upgraded cards are not allowed.
• Each deck must be a duo deck with a main element and a secondary element. The main element must have more cards than the secondary. The secondary element must have 6 or more cards. (including Pillars)
• Deck size must be 40.
• Players can only build decks using Pillars and the cards from the Starter Pack.

• Deck mark must match the main element.

Q&A:

- Pillars (and any cards) of a third element are not allowed.
- Other is not an element. Dagger and Quantum Pillars are allowed in any deck on top of the main and secondary elements.
- Pendulums and Mark cards cannot be used.
- Players cannot use more copies of a card than the Starter Pack allows.
- Decks can be changed between games.

Trivia: The Starter Pack contains the necessary cards to build any of the starter decks.

I think we are in need of TOs again. War is starting and both TOs are playing (Zso, Naii). It would be nice to have
a TO not playing War - don't think they can bear the extra burden which means caring about tournaments AND war.
