I have something to say about 15th septemper 2012 weekly tournament.
Rule 1.3 Signing up:
"No signing up is required. Simply enter the EtG Tournament Channel on IRC:
Server: irc.ext3.net
Channel: #etgtournaments
at least 5 minutes before the tournament starts. Enter with a nickname that matches your forum name. If you arrive later than that, you will not be able to participate."
It would have been much better if the authority posted the exact time, for example: >2 minutes left for signing up of X tournament of the week.< Because i was very unsure of what was happening and that would prevent late people from joining. Which I believe, happened.
Rule 2.1 Making sure the rules haven't been updated:
"Sometimes players find loopholes in the rules that the organizers didn't take into consideration. In this situation organizers are forced to change the rules to make sure that there is no possibility of exploiting the rules and ruining the event. This is why before you start preparing for a tournament, it's always a good idea to make sure that the tournament rules haven't been updated."
We had problems with this one.
Rule 3.1: Finding an opponent
"See from the Tournament Brackets (
http://images.challonge.com/elements-elementstournament.png) who you are fighting. You then have 5 minutes to start a duel with that opponent. If your opponent does not respond, contact Tournament Organizer who then also tries to contact the other player. If unsuccessful, it is considered a forfeit and you will move on to the next round.
If a player drops out mid-tournament, they will be replaced by the player they most recently beat and then by others down that chain of beaten players in that line in the bracket."
We could really use a 5 minutes countdown after the brackets are posted.
3.3 Changing your deck:
"You are allowed to change your deck and mark at any time but you only have 3 minutes to do so which is why it's very important to build all your decks in advance. If it takes you longer than 3 minutes, it is considered a forfeit and the other player goes to next round."
How can an authority ensure this rule?
"If you have any questions about the rules, please post them here. Thank you.

Rule 3.4 Desync:
"When desync error happens, the match gets restarted, unless it was very clear who was going to win. We are hoping that players are honest about this, but if there is a dispute, tournament organizer will decide the outcome. Players are not allowed to change their decks or marks when a match gets restarted."
This rule were not followed. People were fighting AI and showing the result whenever desync happened.
I'm poiting out what i saw and if these rule-breakings are common, please tell me, I'm new.
