I'm seriously beginning to think that should be duplicated, stickied, and referenced in any place that makes sense, because the spamming just to circumvent it and not do anything remotely useful or fun for the rest of the community is getting ridiculous.
I've learned from work that regardless of how ridiculously huge and obvious a sign is,
people don't read signs. Most blatant example is when I put up a large sign telling latecomers to wait at the doors until I'm done with giving an orientation speech to the people already inside. What do they do? Of course they rush in and distract everyone by opening the doors, letting light into a place that's supposed to be dark, and basically ignore everything.
TL;DR: No matter how obvious we make something, there's always people who "don't notice it." Trying to idiot-proof something generally ends up making the idiocy worse and more prevalent.
That being said, I'll just add Higs' blurb to the first post.
