Not logical either. We're not forcing you to post or join tourneys. It's you who wants to join tourneys, and to do so you must abide by the rules laid down by Staff that have struggled with getting them right for a long time, and endured many long nights of hard work fixing shit that (semi-organized) exploiters have messed up. Now that they can't make new accounts on the fly and join, we haven't had a single disruption of that nature since the rule.

Until you know what it's like to host a tourney with cheaters in it, your words are hollow. Or playing in one, for that matter; legit players have been extremely annoyed and frustrated until this fix.

Similarly, you can't just join a PvP Event and not post decks or plan a duel with your opponent because you don't "feel like it".
Absolutely agree. Post 23/30.

There should be other ways of pre-selecting who can play it.
I've been playing elements for a long time (like 4 months)
I play the game and read the forums like everyday, and just don't want to post anything. I did sometimes, but only when I thought something would be useful.
I wanted to join the tournaments (months ago), I want to join the tournament now,
but i won't "spam" the forums with little comments on everything or whatsoever.

Come on, how about number of victories? Or score? Arena deck level?

If you were a good Magic player, you'll do well here.  I've played Magic since Revised/Fallen Empires, and that gives a very good base for learning this game quickly and well.

But yeah, to get 30 posts, it shouldn't be too hard.  You can just post a deck idea or two that you're working on, get feedback, and reply, and you can get to 30 pretty fast.  Before the 30 post rule, the problem we had was people who had no idea what the rules were or anything spamming chat with inane questions about the most basic of tournament rules.  They hadn't read about tournament brackets, times, or even deckbuilding rules, and would often ask the same questions repeatedly even after they were answered.  I'm not saying anyone in particular here would do that, only that I've seen it in the past, and that's what prompted the 30 post minimum, to (hopefully!) ensure that people had made at least a minimum of effort to figure out what the rules were and interact with the community a bit first.

And so yet again I'm forced to repeat myself. Is anyone capable of reading back in this thread to find the actual reason for the rule before they flap their cake hole?

The 30-post rule got rid of all the cheaters and most of the noobs that either slow down tournaments to a crawl, making it insufferable for all players involved and especially the Tournament Organizer who is doing this work for no other reason than good will, or even cancelling the entire tournament. It will not be replaced or removed, because there is no replacement. We don't make rules arbitrarily, so know the reason before you try criticism. With everything, ever.

It's also extremely easy to make 30 valuable posts. I could pull it off in one day, and have.

Try posting thoughtfully. It will probably help in preparation for tournaments.

I apologize if if I this is included in the rules and I missed it: what time do the tournaments occur?

The two tourneys on Saturdays are on 3-hour rotating schedules.  Eastern tourneys rotate from 6-8 GMT and Western tourneys rotate from 18-20 GMT.  The times for each specific tourney will be posted in their threads.

Thanks Jippy99. Was there a typo in the times for the eastern tournament? Isn't 6-8 GMT 1am-3am EST?

Nope. This is correct.

By "Eastern," we mean "Europe, Asia, and Australia." Western is at a more suitable time for people in North America and South America.
