Players need to be more observant

Indeed. Illegal decks were much less of a problem when players moderated themselves rather than only Staff doing it. Autonomous moderating will always be the most efficient form and accounts for 98% of moderating being done (you, the user, thinking twice before posting that post that was just a bit too personal).

That's MY reason for removing the deck check rule. A philosophical principle that can result in better overall awareness.

The general TO reason is, of course, to reduce the work load, which has become necessary.

However, there is a middle path we can take. We can allow deck checks to be requested by both players and TO's alike. This means the TO can demand it when they have time to spare, but do not HAVE to delay other duties and thus the next round because they HAVE to check decks. Similarly, users can request deck checks by both the TO and other users (as they always have been able to do, just have chosen not to).

In the end, you're older players arguing for something you've always had access to and shouldn't need, but for new players I'm perfectly willing to add a clause that simply explains that deck checking is a thing you can do.

 Then I suggest so players are required to post their decks after the tournament and this will not be a problem since most do without obligation .

That could work very well. To proceed to the next round the loser gives its ok or the decks get sent to te TO if the guy leaves or something.

If player A plays and illegal deck and player B leaves the tournament its irrelevant, the rules state that Player A will take Player B's place in the next round. The exception of course is in finals.

No signing up is required. Simply enter the Elements Tournament Room on our Blab chat at least 5 minutes before the tournament starts. If you arrive later than that, you will not be able to participate.

Is there a schedule for the tournament?

There is, but tournaments and other forum organized pvp events are on hold because of the server problems that have plagued us the last couple months or so.  We aren't sure when they will be fixed, unfortunately.

Major updates:

• 1.3.2 The Knowledge Check now applies to everyone who plays for the first time
• 3.3 Deck Legality Check has been added
• 4.4 The Parasite System has been replaced with a Warning System
