Just wanting clarifications:
1) First deck cannot have Shards; can it have upgraded cards?
2) Second deck cannot have upgraded cards and has max 4 copies; can it have shards?
3) Is my first deck fighting against the second decks of my opponents and their first decks fighting the others second decks? Or vice-versa? Or are the first decks all fighting one another and the second decks all fighting one another?

Just wanting clarifications:
1) First deck cannot have Shards; can it have upgraded cards? Correct, the only restriction is that it can't have shards.
2) Second deck cannot have upgraded cards and has max 4 copies; can it have shards? No shards
3) Is my first deck fighting against the second decks of my opponents and their first decks fighting the others second decks? Or vice-versa? Or are the first decks all fighting one another and the second decks all fighting one another? Your second deck (which you'll submit after seeing your opponent's decks) will be simulated against the first decks of the other players in your group.

It actually handles the OP colorless shards (from 1.31), but we don't want these, do we?

Considering that the difficulty of the task for the second phase is inherently different between the groups, it would not be fair to have a global ranking based elimination this round (as it was in round 1). Imagine, if all players of a particular group submitted a 30-pillar deck as first deck, then they can all easily reach the maximum 300% win-rate sum, while another group with very strong opponent decks would struggle to reach even half of that.

So I'd suggest to do the ranking and evaluation on a per group basis (e.g. eliminate 1 player from each group).
