Beyond the horizon lies the crumbled arena of a civilization forgotten by the world. In its vicinity no fights were performed. No one dared; it was known that in these dark dungeons, cruel experiments were performed.

Ages past, the Elementals and the Elves were busy in everlasting pursuit of perfection. Released specimens were sent free to roam around the battleground. Not for happiness. Not even for sport. This was a test of their ability to survive.

Now suddenly a flying chrysaora is cornered by a hobbling abomination. Amilir watched silently from the shadows, with a grim scowl. “She is my biggest failure, she has to die. Such are laws of nature, such are the rules of this place.” Suddenly, instinctively, the twisted parodies of life screamed in fear. A ripple, a bend in the space of Entropy was felt. Their instincts detected a very special person. Amilir and the other warlords knew it as well. The Master of Entropy was finally here.

- You’re late – said Nyma furiously drawing her discord. – Stop wasting my precious time.

- Silence! – shouted Kurohami. – Show proper respect.

Zeru raised his hand to plead a brief moment of order.

- Welcome my mutants, my wizards, my freaks. Today I am here for the first time in weeks.
I trouble you now with an issue to tell, an inescapable truth, a dread that’s befell.
Our magic is waning, our fodder is thin, we find ourselves lacking flesh herewithin.

The Master spoke true, and the warlords knew it; the specimens were running out. But it was hard to tell with the Master … was he joking? Even in the direst of times he held a wry smile and his eyes seemed … insane.

SnoWeb broke the silence in his thick French accent. – Zis ees an outrage! ‘Ow are we supposed to do les mutations? We need zee stuff to mutate zee stuff, oui?

Zeru laughed frantically, then quickly responded - You can’t and you don’t. You shan’t and you won’t.

The ever-thoughtful xKelevra spoke next - Yes, this is problematic. Discovering the working of life is not easy, you know. Quite the opposite. Why, this reminds me of that time when a bird got stuck in the washing machine …

Zeru pouted. - Don’t interrupt me each line … it’s not easy to rhyme …

One of the senior warlords responded - I know what you want to say Zeru – claimed 10 men. -  You want us to band with you and go collecting in other lands. Must I remind you how it ended last time?

- We almost took over the world by accident? – asked vagman13, his eagerness for conflict evident.

- Dear Elementals, please behave – said Sir Valimont. – We haven’t let our master speak in ages. Let us hear his entreaty.

- Open your eyes and unlock your ears.
I have a surprise that will calm all your fears.
Creatures are boring, they die so easily.
My real intentions I shall announce eagerly.
We will experiment on living Elementals!
(Don’t mess up my suit because it’s a rental).

- What?! – shouted Nyma and her echoing voice ran through the land. Others were surprised as well. A rain of extremely important questions emerged.

- Most importantly: Why are you rhyming like that?

- I always rhyme. Except this time.

- Do we have some sort of ethical standards for this project?

Zeru laughed at his minions’ good intentions.

- The glory of battle brings many a rapture … do what you will with the enemies you capture.

- Turning some people inside-out would be hilarious … or how about a Fire Elemental’s head with a Water Elemental’s body … hehehe …

- Silence! I have an important question. Do we have an army?

Amilir smiled and stepped forward silently. He clapped his hands and the ground began to shake; suddenly countless dragons burst forth through the ground, causing pillars of the arena to crumble and crash around the group.

He spoke for the first time: - Does this answer your question?

- You fool, you ruined our lab!

- Never liked it. Not enough hamsters painted on the wall.

- Yes, hamsters are crucial. Hamsters … with cheese.

- I say this meeting is closed – said Zeru and pointed toward the yonder plains. – Dear Enemies, pray that we don’t find you. Because …
(as the whole group broke into maniacal laughter) - ..You won’t leave without extra limbs!
