The Quanta Master is a creature with 1/2 and Costs of 2 :underworld. I am not sure, which Element could be the best for that – you have a idea?

Ability: If you have a full hand, pay 1 :underworld and discard a card from your hand. You get the Quanta of that card costs.

I think it´s still your turn, so you can cast after this ability. So it can be a new Quanta source with a special condition. And a counter of Nigtmare for example.

Maybe a bit easier to implement could be passiv:„If you have to discard a card you gain the Quanta costs of that discarded card.“

Don't need to have a full hand. Or you'll need an Hourglass / Sundial / Fractal / SoBre / SoSe / Golden Nymph / whatever.
A discarding is quite an impact, full hand needing is too heavy.

I remember discussing an idea similar to this with OT before. He felt the gains should not change based on what you discard because you don't play it. I disagree with that.

Is this balanced with something like fractal? I can fractal ruby dragons, sacrifice one to play one...etc on second thought, that's highly impractical lol

Yes you can play ruby dragons one by one, but for casting a ruby dragon you need alot quanta, and fractal is expensive too. And you need casting this creature before. Without casting a dragon you need 2 dragon on your hand - and a full hand. That seems slowing down.
SoSe is an another option to fill your hand, but only 1 entropy, other cards are random. So you don´t know you need that quanta? I think this is not OP.
But maybe a full hand is really a too heavy - does it make sense to say "5/6 or more cards on your hand"?
