most likely a creature that has a passive ( active?) ability that more or less resets the card thoughts?

You mean something like Steam Machine's -1/-0 ability? Or something that COMPLETELY reverts the card to its original form?

completely reverts it self though to balance that it would either need to be weak or very expensive or maybe a passive that slowly changes the stats/affects by 1 until it is what it is when summoned
