I really, really like the idea of death becoming life, but I'm not sure how exactly to balance it, or even how powerful it is exactly.

Maybe in conjunction with soul catcher and mitosis + emerald/jade dragon?
I do like life/death duo decks.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Only, it's a bit UP. Definitely lower the cost and consider removing the :death has to be more than :life rule.

Third agree.

I can see some nice possibilities for this, albeit limited. I think a few cats and some soul catchers would be an easy way to get life ;)
