Hmmm........ the law is "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" so here are my ideas:
1) the next creature played will have an effect put onto it, I don't know which one: antimatter, gravity pull, poison, immaterial, basilisk blood, maybe a random effect?
2) the next permanent played will be put on the opponent's field
3) the next creature played will be put back in the deck

I will put more when I come up with something.

Note: all of these would work for the next card played by anyone, though maybe the upped version could only affect the opponent.

Murphy's Law can be viewed as a curse. Make it have a high chance to effect your opponent and chance to backfire. While a player is under the curse many things could happen.

everytime you draw, there's a chance that either you or your opponent takes 10~20 damage?

say, this effect occurs 80%, 40% chance that it will hit you/opponent, 20% chance that nothing happens...

that'd mean a crazy way to duo  :entropy :time :D

and it's non-cummulative (if it does, they'd have separate probabilities, not stacking, eg. one might hit you while another hits the enemy)
