Mounts are creatures that can be ridden by other creatures.
They add attack power to their rider, have abilities like momentum or airborne and have an amount of defense that takes damage before the creature riding it.
If something kills the rider, the mount remains.

Thoughts and discussion before development?

First thought: Yeah, my toadfish can ride a horse now!

1. I don´t think that there would be enough humanoid creatures being able to ride anything. (well, crusader, angel, maybe the mind flayer? but what else? I don´t say it´s impossible for a vampire to ride on something, but it just wouldn´t look good in the game.)
2. We have things like Blessing, Momentum and Plate Armor already, to give our creatures a little boost. (So it´s not that necessary to ad some other mechanic (that´s a personal thought and may not represent the thoughts of the community)
3. It´s difficult to realize right now. How would you play them. Would every creature and rider get a target mechanism so that you would be able to place them where you want an the field (So that you can place them on other creatures (mounts)? That would slow the game down and may be difficult to make come true.
4. You posted that the mount would take damage before the rider, And then said that if something would kill the rider, the mount would remain. (So the mount takes damage and is killed before the rider, and if the rider dies before the mount (what would be impossible in that case) the mound remains.)

good questions, which is wy I opened it to discussion

nothing says mounts need to be horses per se.
magic carpet, war elephant, etc

a mount in a creature, it has an ability "Carry 0:" it targets a creature, other than say Dragons, then thart creature is moved onto the mount and that creature is mounted. this covers that mechanic.

as for if mount is killed first, think the fire shield etc.
for the rider killed first, thing devour or reverse time or things that kill a creature outright.

I have not decided what effects target mount or rider, but it would be a logical distribution.

hmm.....

If a Airborne Creature rides on something that´s not airborne, it should loose the airborne effect.

I think if the mount is killed, the rider dies as well...?

Effects like Rain of Fire should target both, i think. Targeting abilities target only the rider, and the mount if there isn´t a rider.

Mounts should be creatures of their own as well, with attack power and attacking each turn, just like normal, right?
--> Abilities like Adrenalin, Momentum and Airborne should be combined, as well as the attack power. But what about shard of wisdom, or immaterial mounts?

Yeah, i have lots of questions.

I think using a mount should for the most part, only give bonuses, not take them away.
Mounts take damage from shields, certain effects etc. Riders take damage from things like rain of fire and thunderstorm.
Basically, use logic in where the effect is coming from.

if a mount is killed, the rider remains in play.
