IDEA:

NOTES:
I wanted a card that seemed like a "reprieve" for a player, one turn of them not dying. It might be a little bit too powerful, so that's why the cost is pretty high. It's in Light because the idea of having another chance just seems to be light.
SERIES:
Series Unknown.

Upped says spell, while its a permanent.
Why do you quote solarias?
I believe you must leave atk|hp and series blank in this case.
I like it.

I didn't know how to make a card with all these tables so I just quoted his post and editted his post a bit to make it the card idea I want.

Looks good to me.  I also like how it is a shield, rather than a permanent, because it adds an additional level of balance to the card; you have to give up whatever shield you were using to play this.

Maybe you must make it untargetable because otherwise it can be destroyed and it's really expensive.

I don't think it needs to be untargetable; otherwise you'd literally be able to chain invincibility.

Term 'fatal blow' a little unclear.  Does that include Poison?  If this is a shield, it probably should not, but you are the designer.

I do like the idea.  I agree with not making it untargetable.  Light already has 2 untargetable shields.

Yes, it's targetable. That way even your "last chance" could fail ;P

I wanted this to be a card that almost guarantees you another turn of living, but then I noticed that dimensional shield does the same thing for three turns while completely negating damage. This card only prevents you from dying. You still take damage (your health just drops to 1 when you are supposed to die). If that's the case, I should probably lower the cost of playing it, because right now it costs more than dimensional shield while not being as good.

Still debating whether or not poison can kill you while you had this on. I had originally planned it preventing all damage (even momentumed creatures) and weapons from being able to kill you. If that's the case, I think poison cannot kill you while you have this on either so it is slightly better than dimensional shield in that aspect.

Well, the way I read this card, it would prevent all damage, even from things like spells and poison.  I'm not sure about momentum, but a momentumed creature would probably hit you through this.  Dimensional Shield doesn't protect against spells or poison damage, and I would think that this card does.

The way I envisioned it would it would protect you from death. Not damage. If you had 100hp and put up this shield while your opponent had a ruby dragon on the field, you'd still take 15 damage. Alternatively, if you had 1hp and you put up this shield while your opponent had 23 ruby dragons, you'd still be alive the next turn with 1hp.

Definitely needs a lowered cost.

I don't think it needs to be untargetable; otherwise you'd literally be able to chain invincibility.
I don't think that making it able-to-be-destroyed fixes the chaining invincibility problem...imo, making this not immaterial only buffs permanent control.

Not really. Dimensional shield costs less, lasts for three turns, and prevents all damage, while this shield only prevents you from dying and costs more.

Maybe I should make this immaterial as a sort of balance and make it worth more than dimensional shield. The act of chaining multiple copies of this doesn't really seem feasible if I keep it at an expensive casting cost.

You said 'Reprieve' as a bit of a comparison title. I like it. Consider calling it Reprieve.

And there is a number of immaterial Light shields. Do we need any more?

Reprieve does sound like a good title. I will change that later.

If it's not immaterial, then then only advantage this has over dimensional shield is the fact it prevents poison and spells from killing you. How would I buff this a bit to make it as good as dimensional shield then?

I like the art. It reminds me of my friend, RoofDangler.
