Gaia is more associated with the aspect of Mother Earth, or Mother Nature. So she's tied to life better than earth.

Purify for life is a nice idea, tho a triangulated formula seems unnecessarily complex. Adding one purify counter for each 10 quanta would make it balanced enough I think.

@Ginyu: Yes, that's the point 

@Frozen & Zawadx: The reason I came up with this formula is that 1 counter for every 5  it would be OP pretty soon (endgame 15 counter for just one card). For every 10 it would be somewhat UP, since it gave less than Purify for more quanta in case of lower amounts

Though if it was 1 counter for every 7 that might be okay. Updating

In short: yes

In detail: I think it is somewhat more versatile than Purify because that gives 2 counters period. With this card you have more ways to use it - early on for small heals? Or wait a couple of turns for more?
Plus, with enough quanta one of this can make up for 4-5 Purifies, saving deck space and enabling a mono - or add it to decks with Adrenaline
