I need time to compile a list of armored creatures, but my running definition is creatures that look armored in the card art and creatures with Plate Armor.

Nice first post.  This is an interesting card.  Random piece of equipment is a bit too swingy for my taste.  You can't build a deck around this card because you are too likely to get a shield when you already have one...  Relic being a reuseable card might be problematic, this card is essentially "1 +  :fire :fire - Get random equpment".

Perhaps I should make it only consume Scrap Piles? Also, by "consume" it means destroy the Relic/Scrap Pile and "generate" means put it in your hand.

The Relic card is reuseable, playing it generates a relic on your field, but leaves the card in your hand.

Maybe debuff this card a little by have the cards generated if played only last a turn like a spark, unless buffed somehow

Maybe it could work based on the quanta you have? Like the most prevalent element you have other than fire. It would likely be mostly used with earth and light, but could be a good way to bridge gaps with any number of duos

If the random equipment is generated in your hand, that makes this card finicky. Its very likely to give you a card of an element you cant use, which just clogs your hand.

I really like this idea for a Fire permanent. How about making only weapons so you could build a deck with a Flying Weapon strategy?

I think the ability cost is too much though. I like the idea of using Relics but it isn't worth putting them in a deck just for a random Weapon or Shield. Since the effect is random, just a quanta cost should be fine.

*Edit* I think it should put the card into play ;) In your hand makes it too expensive.
