From what I can gather from the boards, some players seem to want a way to deal with immaterial creatures directly. Of course there are at least as many that vehemently oppose this.
I personally agree that cards that directly attack or kill immaterial creatures detract heavily from the mechanics value. So I had an odd idea. What if instead of destroying it, you simply "spread it out across time and space". That gave me this idea

The mechanics:
An immaterial creature gets shuffled to its owners deck.
Its attack and hit points get randomly distributed among its surviving allies (spell will not cast if target is its owner's only creature)
Its casting cost is then doubled and added as

to its owner's pool.
Offensively, this is mainly useful for dealing with creatures that have very potent abilities. It would be rather stupid to use it for vanilla creatures except in some rare circumstances.
Defensively, you can send an immaterial creature of your own that is about to die back to your deck to counter your losses.
Any thoughts on balance / viability are welcome... Or if you think its just a bad idea, I can respect that too (just give me something more useful to work with than "it sucks").
