Might be the well needed PC for water ... Something like this:

If I use this card against an opponent's weapon slot and that opponent Steals my weapon next turn, is my stolen weapon going to return to the top of my deck or my opponent's one?

Probably destroyed tbh. The returning effect is more about the first time you play it. Be too strong to destroy it as well as freeze.

Zblader just posted up a card idea for a shield that seems fairly similar:
Compact Guard | Focus Buckler
Though it looks like that one will outright replace the enemy's shield.

Thanks for all the replies btw, this has really helped flesh out the idea. Before I develop this for pre-crucible I guess, any thoughts on the upgrade path? should it be 3 turns fully upped?

Are we happy with frozen limb as a name? I think their may be room to improve there, but it's not bad and I can't think of a better one just yet.

Looking at this one now, the two do seem quite distinct.

I was thinking of something similar a while back. I wanted to call it "Rime Frost" or "Hoar Frost"
Hard Rime on Wikipedia
Seems fitting I think.
Good luck on your card creation. If it pans out and reaches crucible let me know so I can give it my vote. More non-destructive PC alternatives would make a nice addition to the game and it fits the water theme quite well I think.

I personally don't like the name "Frozen Limb", it's way to descriptive and not "spell-like". However, it has the advantage to point out why you drop your weapon/shield and why you cannot carry one. "Rime Frost", "Hoar Frost" or "Hard Rime" are more poetic, they sound more "spell-like" but they are less descriptive. We could try to find something marrying the two: Descriptive and sounding-cool. I'm not very far on this road yet: "Ice Trap", "Cold-cuffs", "Snow Web" ...

Looking at the already in-game card names, the vocabulary is relatively simple. I'll admit I had to look this one up (although it rang some bells afterward).

maybe something with frostbite in the name, although as sno says, it's not very poetic sounding
