Alright. I'm going to use this for primarily two purposes: testing and balancing various new card ideas, and a project I've been wanting to pursue for a while now: fixing some of the cards that I never moved out of the Smithy. I may raise a particular card I'd like to fix from time to time, but currently this will mostly be for when I get an idea. (NOTE: in this thread, the symbol :underworld will be used for elemental quanta on cards with undecided elements.)

A few ideas:

Mana Burn / Quantic Burn
4 :fire / 4 :fire
Spell / Spell
Destroy 5 quanta from the target pool. / Subtract 5 quanta from the target pool.
NOTES: What's the difference, you ask? It applies only when less than 5 quanta are in the target pool. The unupped will lower it to 0 in such a case, but the upped will force it into the negative.

Glacial Horror / Glacial Terror
6 :water / 5 :water (price is probably too low, but hey, this is pre-Smithy)
2/5 / 2/5
Freeze: Upon attack, turn a random enemy permanent into a Frost Pillar.
NOTES: Frost Pillar is below. Frost Pillar is not available in the bazaar. By "defrost," I mean it goes back to whatever it was. Freezing only works on one pillar at a time, not the whole stack. Normal Frost Pillars stack, but those in the weapon or shield slot stay there.

Frost Pillar
0
Permanent
Generate 1 random quantum per turn. Defrosts in 3 turns.

Mana Burn :
It looks balanced and might even need -1 cost, but what worries me is that people might think the upgraded version's effect is a bug rather than an intended effect considering that negative quantum also occurs during PvP desync. Perhaps add "Quantum can go into the negative" on the upgraded text, or have it generate quantum for you if it would go past 0?

Glacial Horror:
Has a powerful synergy with Adrenaline. Unless you have a shield up, a :water / :life duo could easily lock down all the permanents on the enemy field, even pillar stacks. I think that a possible balance to this is freezing itself whenever it attacks.

Planar Drifter:
Seems a little overpriced, considering that it has the same weaknesses as an immortal and is vulnerable to PC unless you use PA. I think -1 cost may or may not be needed.

ETG doesn't have mana.
Quanta Pools probably should not be able to go negative.
Otherwise it looks like a good idea for Fire. (It still needs balancing though. It looks on the weak side to me but I am not sure.)

Flayne's Jengu might be a better way of freezing pillars.

Planar Drifter would work better as an Earth permanent. (simpler)

Alright. New versions of two of the cards, as well as a new idea. Mana Burn is going to move up to the Smithy as soon as I can find art (the quanta cost can be decided there).

Glacial Horror / Glacial Terror

Snapfreeze: Upon attack, freezes itself for 2 turns and turns a random enemy permanent into a Frost Pillar.

Deals 5 (6) damage to the enemy per turn.

Animate Statue / Living Statue (assuming this is Earth)

Generate :earth :earth per turn. All permanents treat this as a 0/1 creature.
NOTES: I'm not sure what element this should be, at all. I figure mechanics are more important than theming for now, so let's try to figure out an element. (Exactly what permanents this would effect can be looked at after we decide the element.)
 :earth : Is the element of permanents (it works with them the most).
 :light : Would synergize with Hope. However, Light has so many ways to generate quanta already...
 :air : It already has animate inanimate objects (Flying Wep).
Any further element proposals would be helpful.

I was suspecting it to be named after a Statue.

I do not see why this would be treated as a creature. It is only a double pillar.

Alright. I'd like to drop the current cards being worked on (for now, at least). That's because I have a few different ideas that I think are better:

?? / ??
6 :underworld / 5 :underworld
2/3 / 2/3
:underworld (ability name?): Target creature attacks in the same manner as ?? this turn.
NOTES: This card is an idea I proposed to the Mind project, and since it's not getting used, I figured I would use it. However, I have no clue on theming, and only a few thoughts on element ( :aether? :entropy? :gravity?).
 The ability basically makes the target creature attack like this creature, and with the same result. A list of things influenced by this ability:
Miss/hit
Damage done
Attack number
(Possibly other things? I don't know)

?? / ?? (possibly something to do with filters?)
X :underworld / (X-1) :underworld (NOTE: in its current form, I feel this cannot be Other because any-element denial is a VERY scary thing. If you think this would be better only targeting its owner, please say so.)
(Permanent? Creature? I don't know what this should be, just not a spell.)
??: Convert 5 quanta of the victim's mark into quanta of the target pool.
NOTES: Okay, this is REALLY unfinished, I admit it. Help of ANY sort would be appreciated.
 Allow me to clarify how the ability works. You target a quanta pool belonging to either player. That player loses up to 5 quanta of their mark and gains the same amount in the targeted pool.

Alternate Timeline / Alternate Timeline
5 :time / 4 :time
Spell / Spell
Summon a basic version of target creature.
NOTES: It's like a PU for :time. If you don't get what "basic" means, it's as if you had played that card from your hand.

Spread / Scatter
X :entropy / X-1 :entropy (may change)
Permanent / Permanent
Cards cannot stack while this card is in play.
NOTES: This disrupts any card with a stacking quality. It forces Bone Wall to only ever have 1 charge, and each pillar takes up its own space.
