On Bluebird Columbine:
What should be the function?
How should it be thematic?
I don't have a tough time thinking of card ideas. Just a tough time thinking of good ones.

gives immortality to a random creature maybe?

The idea of giving immortality to a random creature can be abused. You can give immortality to creatures much easier and immortality, like neurotoxin, is not something you can go around splashing on everything.

Actually, it is. See Anubis, no one uses its. Not only because of its stats.

Actually, it isn't. Looking at Anubis, it is very expensive and requires a duo cost of time and aether. This makes it hard to splash immortality.

The only thing Anubis has going for it in opposition to Turquoise nymph is its combo with SoR.

I consider Anubis too weak to be used as a reference for balance, and in all cases of pseudo-immortal on a stick, I compare it to Quintessence, not even the Nymph. The nymph has added good hitter attached to it.

As for the aether flower, I would suggest:
Spoiler for Hidden:
(Attacks its owner and opponent.)
Columbines were eaten in small doses as a condiment in native america; they are poisonous, but relatively safe in small doses.
In this case, they're very powerful if you buff them up, but it can get a litttttllllleeee crazy if you're not careful.

Not very flowery, but w/e.

I take it you would recommend using it with your favorite Mirror Shield  ;)

Otherwise an interesting idea

Well, I have a predicament:
If I make it physical, it's horribly broken with dims.
If I make it spell, it's horribly broken with reflective.

... Heh, the general gist is out there, at least.

The spell version is inarguably the better of the two. While it adds an extra x1,5 multiplier to the damage, it forces you to use low dr shields
And unless you play at least 3 of these - which, if your opponent has cc might not be that easy - it doesn't do too much damage, as 2 of these + mirror/jade shield doing 12 damage for 10+ quanta of 2 elements putting it just below your average dragon

:aether - Columbine Blue Bird (Thaks Treldon!)
Spoiler for Columbine:

What's up with that one? Why title it Failed Version right away?

Too OP? This way certainly. Make the effect last for 1 turn only - with 1 turn rest period, so it cannot be cast on the same creature over and over - and higher cost

I am not going to use that effect. Also, I didn't have time to write the background and synergies.
