Artwork that needs a Card

I'm not quite sure where to put this, so I figured since here is where card ideas can get a push start, its a good spot.

Very often, I create artwork that started as an attempt for a particular card but ends up not working out quite right. Consequently I end up with cool, but orphanded artwork.

This is one of those.
It was originally intended for my "Splinter Beasts" idea from this thread: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,43116.0.html

But it didn't really fit quite the way I want it. Here is the image:

This poor little devil needs a home (e.g. card)

Its was supposed to be a glass/metallic spider like creature. I need help making a card out of it... Or if you want, feel free to use it on for your own (but be sure to put a post up here if you do so I know its been used)

I put a fair amount of work into it, so I'd rather not see it go to waste.

The art seems to work best under element (image just clashes way to much with everything else). So thats a start.
I need ideas for abilities and stats.

How about a Schism Demon? That sounds kinda cool I guess.

The art makes it seem to tie with or too.

I like the "Splintering Idea" so that's where I got the word "schism."

Perhaps when it splits, it splits into random types?

Hmmm... that could work. The color scheme seems to clash with the fire card background, but the earth card background seems to work alright.

Maybe it could be an earth creature that produces fire or darkness quanta and splits into multiple "eggs" or "larvae"  upon death. These could then be grown back...

For the Schism Demon:
"Splinter: Spawn 3 eggs if killed.
Randomly aligns to , , , or when played, generating 1 of that quanta per turn."

For the egg:
"2, Hatch: Choose either , , , or to transform into a Schism Demon aligned to that type."

Egg will be a 0|1.

What about a good cost and hp for the beasie itself though? Probably need something mid to small to keep the splitting from getting OP.

It would all depend on the attack of the creature. I think if its a 1|1 it could be well balanced. That would clash with Brimstone Eater and Gnome Rider though. Since its not a standalone card, it should be fine.

The original card should be 3|3, splitting into 3 creatures that become 1|1 imo.

Ok, so how about this:

There could be a set of 3 types total
Schism - 
Aurora - 
Nexus - 

Then there could be a card:
Splinterling Hive - "Hive: Create a splinterling egg of the appropriate type when a non-other type permanent you own is destroyed."
Its a cool form of soft anti-PC and supports non-rainbow multi-element decks (trios and quartets mostly)

The hive itself would be a type "other" card... not sure if it should be a creature or a permanent though
