Upped War? Is it possible?

By that would we need that element fully upped? Or would there be a certain number of upgrades you must have for *insert element here*? If so i think that may change which elements are playable to certain people.

I see no other option than to make it fully upped. Otherwise it would be unbalanced.

Someone suggested that Generals could use up to 6 unupped cards, which I think is a great idea. It would be like reverse of what regular War has.

While there is some benefit to using some unupgraded cards, I wonder if the ability to use unupgraded cards should go to the team's rookie (if there is one).

I doubt there will be any rookies. I look at this tournament as being for those that have worked hard over several months. A place where they can use all their upped cards.

I will say that forcing fully upped decks is prolly a bad idea.  In a war type setting with salvaging, not even people with hundreds of upped cards can possibly play everything.  It should be more like the option of using upped cards.  We can use a certain number of upped cards total or in an element as a filter for the event, but forcing fully upped decks will never work, especially when people need large numbers or upped towers and pendulums that likely few people possess.

If you were to include conversion you mostly need just about 12 upped pendulums and towers from the element you fight for, and the rest of the cards, well, let's hope you've got a lot of upgrades and some spare electrum, no?

Fully upped really wouldn't be a problem for me, but I can't speak for everyone

that's a really bad idea imho
first because one could go for the unupped version of a particular card (sundial, puffer, druidic staff, dragons)
second because i'd like to see even people without 6x of each upped card partecipating

i know that this could be unbalanced, but if we have an auction like the regular war, the fully upped players would cost a lot more than half upgraded ones..

what we should do is a mock signup sheet

put down the 12 elements and ask whoever are down for any particular element i.e. :-

with preference (e.g. element #1, element #2, element #3 - #2 and #3 means they will be reserved for that element in case that particular element does not have enough team members or something)
and see how many we can actually get to commit...with names
much better than a poll imo

I could play for Fire, Death, and Earth with just a little more grinding to finish them completely.  Aether and Time would be the next closest though they would need a bit more grinding than the former 3 (upgrading 15 Pillars & Pendulums is such a pain!).

I'm already saving up in anticipation to this event.

I won't participate because... you know, not enough grinding, but what if you were forced to field upped decks... except Pillars and Pendulums (those can remain unupped) ?

So you don't have to upgrade a bunch of them if needed. Of course it wouldn't bother those who have all the upped cards they want but...

Anyway, good idea. I'd follow this event closely...
