Survivor -- Elements
Original idea by: Waterzx   |   Developed by: Waterzx   |   Art by: ??#4   |   Organized by: ??#5

Inspired by reality show Survivor, participants must learn to survive with limited resources (cards) and fight each other in weeks until only one man remains

1. HOW TO SIGN UP?
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.

Maximum amount of participants for this event is 18, 9 participants for each tribe (see below). If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 18 players doesn't show up during round 1.

2. GETTING READY
Choose a tribe you want to join, and then build a deck (of 30 cards) according to the tribe's requirement. You may also build an additional card pool of 30 cards, and your additional card pool does NOT need to fulfill the tribe's requirement

- Two tribes are available, namely Nature Power and Nature Force

- Nature Power requires the use of any of these :  :aether :fire :earth :light :time :gravity

- Nature Force requires the use of any of these :  :air :darkness :death :entropy :life :water

- You cannot include elements of opposite tribe in your deck, but you can do so in your card pool

- You can only use non-upgraded cards in the game.

- You are not allowed to use any rare cards, including rare weapons, rare creatures, shards, nymphs and marks

- Each pillar / pendulum counts as one card

- You will not be able to change the cards you possess unless you are allowed to do so.

3. Rules
This event is a single elimination tournament.

- Both tribes begin with 9 members. Card pools of the members are joined to form the tribal card pool

- There are two types of battle. The Reward Battle occurs after every Immunity Battle. The first battle would be a Immunity Battle.

- In each battle, each tribe chooses 3 members for duels.

- If a tribe loses a Immunity Battle, that tribe needs to participate the Tribal Vote. Member of the tribe needs to PM the event organizer and vote to evict one member from the tribe. The member who received the most vote would leave the game.

- In case of a tie, a second vote will occur , but this time, the members who receive the most votes will lose their power to vote. Other members need to vote to evict one of those members.

- After the Tribal Vote, 20 cards must be discarded from the tribal card pool. Then the tribe can open their card pools and change their decks. However, any card taken away from existing decks will NOT return to card pool, and is discarded instead.

- The member who got voted out can decide whether or not to reveal information about his/her tribe (former tribe technically) to one of the member of opposite tribe. If he/she chooses to do so, he/she should PM the event organizer about information and the recipient. The revealed information will be given to the named player by event organizer. DO NOT PM the information to any player yourself.

- The recipient may or may not share those information to the whole tribe.

- If you are unfortunately voted out, you can still help your tribe by giving false information to opponent tribe :P

- If a tribe wins a Reward Battle, different rewards may be given.
  List of possible rewards:
1.) Receive a few rare cards in tribe's card pool
2.) Allow the tribe to upgrade certain cards
3.) Ability to return cards in deck to card pool
4.) Take a look at opposite tribe's card pool (only up to 20 cards are visible)

- Tribe Merge : If one of the tribe has only 5 members remaining, tribal merge occurs. The two tribe will merge together as a single tribe

- During merge, players can keep their existing decks but their previous card pools will be destroyed. (Upgrades and rares may be kept if in players' decks)

- After the merge, each player can build his/her card pool again with 30 cards and may change their existing decks. But, again, card removed from deck will be discarded.

- Each former member from the original larger tribe can choose one of the following additional benefits:
1.) Receive a few rare cards in player's card pool
2.) Allow the player to upgrade certain cards
3.) Ability to return cards in deck to card pool
4.) Increase the card pool size to 50
5.) Chance to avoid a elimination after loss

- After tribal merge, each player is independent and a regular 1 on 1 tournament ensues. Loser of a match will leave the game.

- During a match ,players can decide by themselves whether to change their deck with card pool at any times. But you have to discard the cards removed from the deck

- Before a match happens, players can also choose to form alliance with their opponent. If they choose to do so, they can avoid the fight and share their card pools. Maximum size of alliance = 2 players

- Players are allowed to PM each other and gather information about their decks and card pool. It's up to the player to decide whether to form alliance or not. You can also reveal the cards of your former tribe-mate to other players to gain their trust.

- Once the alliance is formed, it cannot be broken unless there is no one else left in game. And if any member from your alliance is eliminated, the size of alliance's card pool will be reduced by 75%, which means 75% of cards need to be discarded.

- The final one remaining in the game becomes the Sole Survivor, winner of this event.

4. DUELS
Players have 4 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both. If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was, and his or her word is final.

Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.

During battle between tribes, if a tribe has at least 2 players winning the matches, that tribe wins the battle

After Tribe Merge

- During a match ,players can decide by themselves whether to change their deck with card pool at any times. But you have to discard the cards removed from the deck.

Every time you change your deck, you have only 5 minutes to do so. And you must PM the event organizer to tell him your previous and the new decks within that time period. You may clarify which cards have been discarded after the duel.

- Before a match happens, players can also choose to form alliance with their opponent. If they choose to do so, they can avoid the fight and share their card pools. Maximum size of alliance = 2 players

- Once the alliance is formed, it cannot be broken unless there is no one else left in game. And if any member from your alliance is eliminated, the size of alliance's card pool will be reduced by 75%, which means 75% of cards need to be discarded.

You DON'T need to reveal the decks you used to everyone but you have to tell what decks you used to your opponent and event organizer after the duel for Archive.

It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.

5. AFTER DUELS
Winner should post a new topic in the "Battle Results" section, along with short description of how the match went. Both the winner and the loser are required to post pictures of both their decks

6. WINNER
Winner of the final tournament  is the winner of the event.

7. REWARDS
The winner of the event will receive a forum award icon

I'm not sure I understand this. Are you saying that you can't have any rare cards in your deck, but you can have as many as you want in your pool?

The first requirement is in the "Getting Ready" Section, and it doesn't apply anymore after the game has begun

You can't carry any rare cards when you join the game but you can receive rare cards which can be used during the game

rare cards are added to card pool so you need to open the card pools to bring them to your decks

IMO very complex to be implemented as is. The idea is interesting but all those twists and turns discurage me  ???

Boil it down a bit e.g. leave out one of the immunity or reward battles

PS: maybe add a 3rd option in vote "yes but..."

New poll option added. This game is indeed complicated, but this is my first game suggestion so forgive me for introducing too many elements into one game.
