EVENT NOT ACTIVEIn a PvP event, players will be matched up in pairs every round and will flip a coin to decide who plays a rush, and who plays a stall. In quintessence, the player who can predict the opponent's deck grabs the win.
1. HOW TO SIGN UP?Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to (re)start.
Maximum amount of participants for this event is 32. If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 32 players doesn't show up during round 1.
2. GETTING READYIf the coin toss gave you a rush deck:- Your deck
must be 40 cards or less
- You may use any non-upgraded cards in the game.
- You may also use up to 6 upgraded cards. These upgraded cards can be used
only in your rush decks and are picked the first time you obtain a rush from the toss.
- You will only have 6 upgraded rush-deck cards through the course of the event.
- The cards you choose to upgrade will stay upgraded during the whole event. You will not be able to change which cards are upgraded, nor can you downgrade them.
If the coin toss gave you a stall deck:- Your deck
must be 41 cards or more
- You may use any non-upgraded cards in the game.
- You may also use up to 6 upgraded cards. These upgraded cards can be used
only in your stall decks and are picked the first time you obtain a stall from the toss.
- You will only have 6 upgraded stall-deck cards through the course of the event.
- The cards you choose to upgrade will stay upgraded during the whole event. You will not be able to change which cards are upgraded, nor can you downgrade them.
3. BRACKETSThis event is a
double-elimination tournament and uses two kinds of brackets: winners brackets and losers brackets. Everyone starts out in the winners brackets. When you lose the first time, you will drop down to the losers bracket. When you lose the second time, you will be eliminated from the event. The final match will be between the winner of winners brackets, and the winner of losers brackets.
In short, if you lose two times, you are out. If you don't lose two times, you win.
4. DUELSPlayers have 4 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both. If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was, and his or her word is final.
Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.
You are allowed to change your deck (and mark) in between duels, but you only have 3 minutes to do so. If it takes you longer than 3 minutes, it is considered a forfeit and the other player goes to next round.
It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.
5. AFTER DUELSWinner should post a new topic in the "Battle Results" section, along with short description of how the match went.
Both the winner and the loser are required to post pictures of both their decks, and must designate if they had a rush or a stall.
6. WINNERYou have won when you are the only one who hasn't lost twice.
