I've seen a lot of these games, and I must say, some of my favorites broke the forum rules  ("Guess the alt" was HILARIOUS).  But my personal favorite was called "manipulative bitch".  The game is all about making your opponents do a mysterious "objective", something they wouldn't normally do.  For instance, you might be assigned the objective "make your opponents post ' :electrum man' instead of '$$$man'".  Every time a player of the game (except yourself) does it, you score a point.  E.G, it's your job to make other people write  :electrum man.  You get a point every time it happens.  But, if someone guesses that your personal mission was to make people write " :electrum man", you'd lose.

...unfortunately this doesn't convert to a PVP tournament well.

I don't have many ideas =/
I like that game.... :P

I've got the perfect idea.  Thought of it over breakfast.

Loyalty
A team based event, where teams pick a number of elements and/or marks that "represents" their team.  E.G, team creation might have air, life, and light as their elements.  Then, whenever a deck that has 50% of it's cards from those three elements wins, team creation gets points.  Whenever you personally win, you also get points.  Your personal score is separate from your team score.

You do not have to play a deck that follows your team.

That means that while you may be on team "creation", you may "betray" your team and take a firestall if you think it'll get you more personal points.  If you win, you may be helping team destruction, (earth, darkness, death), but you also increase your own personal score.

At the end of the event, the first player to 10 or so points wins, and when a player wins, the team with the most points wins, regardless of if that player is on that team.  So the question is, do you remain loyal and try to help your team win, or do you betray them and earn easy points for yourself?

I don't see who is not what they seem? Do you know who is on each team? Do you know what elements and marks each team represents?

Also, I don't see why anyone would betray their team. Even with your dream deck, just one player, the one with the highest score, wins. Wouldn't you rather pick a deck that helps your team? Almost everyone won't be the player that wins, but a lot of people can be on the team that wins.

The idea is interesting but needs slight clarification/tweaking.
Somehow still around, somewhat
