Elementals from a faraway planet are invading! Take your side; Protect the earth as a Defender, or join the Invader conquest? This is a 2-part survival tournament.
1. HOW TO SIGN UP?Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.
Maximum amount of participants for this event is
32. If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 32 players doesn't show up during round 1.
2. GETTING READYIn this event there will be 2 sides that a given player may be on during the given time:
1. Defenders
2. Invaders
Invaders are attacking the Defenders.
Defenders are keeping the Invaders out.
There are 2 stages to this event:Stage 1: Fight for your ground!
Stage 2: Best of the best!
In stage one, the Defenders and Invaders wage war. The matches will start at 16 people on each side matched such that each match will be Defender vs Invader.
3. BRACKETSThis event is a
Point-based survival tournament and uses two brackets: Stage 1 bracket, and Stage 2 bracket.
Stage one is a point-based survival (Single elimination) tourney between the Invaders and the Defenders.
•In stage 1, matches are randomized such that each pairing will be Defender vs. Invader.
Stage two is a single elimination tourney within the winning team from Stage 1.
4. INVADERSThe Invaders use advanced weaponry known as "upgraded cards." Such things are beyond the comprehension of the Defender elementals, and gives the Invaders a very tall advantage.
Only Invaders are able to use cards from the list below, and can use upgraded cards throughout Stage 1.
4vd 4ve 4vh 4vm 4vp 55r 55v 560 5c3 5f1 5if 5l9 5oe 5rh 5un 61s 5f4
5. DEFENDERSThe Defenders are the elementals who inhabit the earth, they do not know of the technology known as "upgraded cards" and thus cannot use them unless they manage to pull off a 3-0 win and steal some of the Invader technology.
Only Defenders are able to use cards from the list below, and initially are unable to use upgraded cards.
52t 55l 55m 55n 55u 58q 58s 58t 5bu 5c6 5f9 5fa 5li 5lk 5ll 5rn 5ru 5lm
If the card is not listed above, it can be used by either team, with the exception of Shards, Nymphs, and mark cards, which are globally banned throughout the event.
6. DUELSPlayers have 3 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both. If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was, and his or her word is final.
Matches are best-of-five, meaning that the winner has won at least 3 matches, and has won 2 more games than his opponent.
It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.
6.1 SPECIAL RULES-Duel affinities are chosen on a per-round per-match basis.
-In Stage 2: all players are to use fully unupgraded decks.
-You are allowed to swap between any of your pre-made decks during the match. However, you are only given 2-3 minutes to do so.
-During both stages, the pairings for each round are announced with a randomized selection of the "duel affinity" for each pairing. The duel affinity is simply what element mark you are required to use that duel.
For example:
If your elemental affinity is
, then you use mark of
.
7. AFTER DUELSWinner will create a new topic for the results of the duel in the given format. Losers will post on that topic in the given format as well.
7.1 STAGE 1The number of duels you won during the best-of-five match gets you that amount of points for your side. At the end of stage one the points are totaled up for each team and the team with the most points moves to stage 2, eliminating 16 players at once (the losing team).
If you won your match 3-0 and are a
Defender, you have successfully stolen some of the Invaders' advanced technology. This allows everyone in your team the option to use a certain amount of upgraded cards in their decks for the remainder of the event. This number is defined by the number of upgraded cards in the deck used by the defeated Invader. Additionally, you are now alloted one player swap, which allows you to swap any one Defender for any one Invader, both of your choosing.
If you won your match 3-0 and are an
Invader, you have successfully abducted one of the Defenders. This gives you an extra point. Additionally, you are now alloted one player swap, which allows you to swap any one Invader for any one Defender, both of your choosing.
7.2 STAGE 2The winning team from stage 1 will organize an internal bracket, with seeding based on the stage 1 brackets for that team. From this point forward, the bracket is set up as a simple single elimination tournament.
8. WINNERWinner of Stage 2 is the winner of the event.
