Idea by Rutarete, developed by Rutarete & Malignant

Please note: This post will be 'prettied-up' later, so what you read now may be changed.

This event will require a program made to help it function.

This is kind of a pre-mature post to make sure we posted it.

Spoiler for Please do not comment until this post has been cleaned up to a cleaner format:
- Players are all treasure hunters searching for the legendary Trident of Zanzarino
    - Is this pyramid representing zanz's death?
- So. Zanz died, he got buried in a pyramid. Being foolish, obviously the real treasure, zanz himself, is always underneath the pyramid (It's the lore now.)
- But there's always his trident, at the very top

Gameplay
- players move around on a grid
- organizer has access (monitoring of) full grid
- players are scattered all around the grid (rectangular)
- players will be represented by a letter or symbol (colored)
- each round, organizer PMs to each player what they can see, (and where they are)
- each round, player PMs organizer direction of movement and action
    - actions can be using/obtaining an item, or engaging in a match
- items are randomly distributed on the grid at the beginning

Rounds
- have a timer that each player can operate in
Going to the next round
- Those who don't make the cutoff (X turns) after the first person makes it to the stairs are out
- Maybe reveal the decks of the fallen and they can pick X cards they want to add to their vault?

What you start with
- player has vault of 45 cards at start
- bag with 0 items

Matches
- activated by being adjacent to another player
    - if A and B become adjacent to C in the same turn, whoever sent a PM earlier does the match (or do round robin)
- matches are quick best of ones (may go to Bo3, but the sheer amount of effort this requires leans toward less time wasted on pvp)
- winning a match gains the winner + visibility
- may be activated by moving and discovering a player (If A moves to the right and spots B, A would walk to B and battle starts) What about if they are both facing each other after moving?
- You can fight each individual player once per floor

What happens when you lose? Options:
- loser vanishes
- loser loses something (visibility, cards, upgrades, items, etc.)



Grid
- rectangular
- is X by Y (to be primarily based off of number of players and/or movement)
- grid will have walls (corridors)
- players will be represented by a letter or symbol (colored)


Movement
- In steps, players move one step at a time (together)
- if player runs into a wall, he/she stops
- players are like walls, you can't go directly through them
or
- players can exist on the same spot, a number will show how many are on the spot
    - mouse-over for names

Vision (solve bolded conflict)
- Starts out at V (Vision) = 1 spot from player (up/down/left/right)
- V(2) = can see two spots from player (diamond-ish)
- V(3), V (4), etc.
- fog/darkness visibility will start at all adjacent squares (8 total)
    - option for bolded conflict: V1 = 3x3 sight, V2 = diamond shape

Items
    - Plus 1 upgrade
    - Plus 1 card (random)
    - Plus 1 movement (one-turn effect)
    - Plus 1 movement (permanent for duration of floor)
    - the minus version of these ^
    - randomly teleports you somewhere else on the floor
   
Win
- first player to reach stairs gets _________
- award icon is Zanz's Trident :P
