WoE Merchants - Rules
Original idea by: Kakerlake   |   Developed by: Kakerlake   |   Art by: ???   |   Organized by: ???

Using any means neccesairy, merchants are competing to become the richest of all!

0. Foreword
Thanks to SG for the ideas of WoE and Edgebee Studios (Kongregate) for the ideas of Swords and Potions. I've pretty much only stolen ideas from both of them, masched them together and this is what became of it.
If there are any suggestions for improvements or critique, please don't hesitate to post it.

1. HOW TO SIGN UP?
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.

Maximum amount of participants for this event is 32. If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 32 players doesn't show up during round 1.

2. GETTING READY
Build an initial Stock of your shop, you are given 2000 :electrum to do so. Not spent :electrum will be lost.
 - You may not add Pillars to the Stock, as you won't need them.
 - Prices of each card is the same as in the Bazaar (ingame).
 - These Cards should be able to field a deck or two, as you might need to battle with them.
 - Send a PM to the Organiser containing your initial Stock.

3. Your Shop
Each shop consists of these things:
Stock and Electrum The cards and Electrum you have in your Shop
Workers
Fallen Elf Produces SpellsSteam Machine Produces PermamentsNymph Queen Produces CreaturesThief Does what thieves do. Duh.

4. Workers, Leveling up and Actions
Each of your worker has different Skills which you can level up during the event. In the beginning, all Skills are on level 1.
Each Round, you can use one Action for each worker.
Each Crafter has 2 Skills:
Craft Each Level increases the Value of one Spent point into Crafting. As an example, Your Elf has Level 1 Crafting (value 60 :electrum), so can Craft 2 Novas (value 48). If Crafting is level 100 (value 2000), then you can craft 30 Fractal (Value 1920 :electrum)
and 3 Novas (Vlue 72 :electrum).Special Each sucessful use of this Skill increases the Level of this Worker by 1 (Your Crafter can upgrade 2 levels, either for both skills, or one skill twice) The higher this skill is, the better the chance of the special effect, which can only happen if the skill is successful.[/list]
Fallen Elf
 - Craft Each level is worth 60 :electrum for Spells.
 - Enchant Successful, if target player is also trying to enchant someone. Special effect (chance: 30% per Level, -10% per opponents level): One random Worker of the Target player gets sick and can't do an action for one turn (cumulative).
Steam Machine
 - Craft Each level is worth 60 :electrum for Permaments.
 - Support You may use 6 additional upgraded cards in each Fight this Round. Successful, if you win at least 50% of your Battles [having no battles means 0% won]. Special effect (chance 10% per level): You may Permamently use one additional upgraded card.
Nymph Queen
 - Craft Each level is worth 60 :electrum for Creatures.
 - Cry If 50% or less from all Merchants use this skill, it is successful. Special Effect: (chance: #cry level/#not cry level: All non cryers lose #cry level creatures, evenly distribued, round up.
(example: only one player crys -> success, if special triggers: all other players lose 1 creature (#cry level/#non cryers < 1, so it is round up). Another example: 50% of the players cry. -> success, if special triggers: each non cryer will lose #cry level/#non cryers, round up, creatures.
Yeah, Those creatures drown in Nymph Tears. Even :water creatures.
Thief Can't level up
 - Steal Attack target player, if you win, you steal either 1 random stack of the most valuable card (even if it is 300 Dragons), or 10% :electrum (50/50)
 - Sabotage Attack target player. If you win, chose and destroy 5 different cards from your opponent.

5. Battles
Battles will always occur one round after they were initiated. The effects happen during the update for the next Round. (So if you attack someone in Round 1, you'll have to battle him in Round 2, and in Round 3 you'll have the stolen goods/ Penaltys).
The support skill can be used anytime, though it is suggested to PM it in the beginning of a round to the Organizer, before you actually fight the first time in a round. Otherwise you might forget it and have used an illegal deck as a resault.

Anti Mobbing rule: A merchant can't be attacked more than 4 times in one Round, if he is attacked more than that, the additional fights will target another random player with lowest fights.
Using other skills that don't include fighting can be used as many times as you like though.

If you used an Illegal deck, you Lose the Match no matter what the outcome was and have to pay a Penalty of 100 :electrum .
(If both players lose, it is counted as a failed attack)

If a match doesn't happen, it is for the Organizer to decide which player was clearly more active and decide on the winner accordingly.
 - If a player fails to do his battle 2 or more times, the organizer may bankrupt that player and remove him from the event due to inactivity.

Deckbuilding
Your deck may only contain Cards you have in your Stock, plus any ammount of Pillars / Pends / Marks (=Pillars) you wish.
 - If you fight with your Steam Machine, you will have to use either :water or :fire Mark, no other restrictions.
 - If you fight with your Thief, you will have to use at least 8 Cards of :darkness or :death (or both), including Pillars. Round up. No other restrictions.
 - When Defending, you don't have any restrictinos.
 - Matches will be best of 3.

Visibility
All actions will be visible to anyone at the end of the Round.
It is allowed to talk openly about the actions you make, or PM it to your buddys. You may even lie, form Guilds or do whatever is neccesairy for you to gain :electrum. ITS WOOARR!!!
You are not allowed to trade/gift stuff with/to other players though.

6. Bazaar
Each Round, except for the first one, there will be a Market, where random Cards can be sold or beaught. This Bazaar is special though, as the buyers have a fix price and the merchants haggle for a lower price :P
The Organizer will post all the (random) Cards that NPC's will buy with a suggested price (similar to the Bazaar price ingame) and maybe even some cards that can be beaught.

Together with the used Action Points, each Merchant will send the organizer a PM with the Cards he'd like to sell (or buy) and the price for these cards. Only the lowest price will be able to sell/buy the card.
[alternatively, someone could create a google doc thingie where all the actions can be sent to]

7. Rounds
There will be a total of 15 Rounds, each Round lasts for 2 days.
    Round 1.
You are given 500 Starting Electrum by the Organizer to keep you afloat in the beginning. No Fighting will happen in this Round. It's kind'a like a Tutorial or Introduction round, where you can ask questions, and do your stuff for the first time.
    Round 2.
From now on, you will have to pay a 50 :electrum Rent each Round. If you are not able to pay this, you are Bankrupt and removed from the event. This ammount might increase later on.
The Bazaar opens the first time now and each Round from now on! - As always, even if you sell cards, you may still use them in the deck this Round, as the cards will only be removed at the end of the Round.
    Further Rounds
Events may occur during any round. Like in Round 5, the Rent will be doubled! Or on a weekend there might be a huge Bazaar with specal prices... who knows what else might happen? (have fun trolling the players, Mr. Organizer-san.
    Round 15
This is the last Round, you may still start new battles, but they will never happen.

8. Winner
The Winner of the event is the Merchant who has most :electrum in his Shop at the end of Round 15.

Very well thought out idea with alot of promise.  My biggest concern is that of the 8 actions listed, only 2 of them would require actual PvP.  Since these are supposed to be "PvP Events" I want to make sure that the focus of this event is more on PvP than it is on RPG.  Mixing both, such as Dog Pit, is great when the PvP aspect is still the main mechanic.  I have real concerns that the PvP for this is just a secondary or even marginal focus of this event.
Carpe Diem!!

I somehow doubt that this should be much of a problem.

Let's look at the Thief:
He can only either attack, or raise your deck's power. This pretty much ensures that each player will have at least one fight each round, because if you don't have a fight, why bother upgrading your cards?
Also, when everyone uses the attack skills, then everyone will have 2 fights (in average).
But I might as well ensure that the Thief will always be attacking by changing it's 2nd skill into something that includes attacking as well, so everyone will have between 1 - 4 Fights each round, in average 2.

Changed a few things:
 - Anti Mobbing Rule
A player can't have more than 4 fights, the other fights will be randomly targeted to another player with lowest #fights.
 - Thief, Steam Machine
Swapped skills Sabotage and Support and modified them slightly.
