??The base idea of the event was inspired by the board-game Archon, where various fantasy characters battled on the board to take over a tile. While the original game involved only 2 players both controlling an army of units, the PvP event will have individual players each controlling 1 character. The board is 6x6 tiles, every row and column is associated with a different element, thus each tile has 2 elements (one from its row the other from its column). Each player character starts with a set of unique cards: 1 spell, 1 permanent and 1 creature -- these have to be from 3 different elements. The players are placed on the board randomly at start, then they can move around and attack other players on adjacent tiles. The winner of each battle takes over a unique card from the loser, when a player lost all of his/her unique cards, then he/she is eliminated. The deck-building rules (what elements can be used) are determined by the tiles on which the players stand at the start of the battle, plus their unique cards.
1. HOW TO SIGN UP?Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.
Maximum amount of participants for this event is
36. If the event is full, you can still sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 36 players doesn't show up during round 1.
When signing up, please indicate your choice of 3 unique cards -- 1 spell, 1 permanent and 1 creature each from different element -- in your sign-up post. You cannot choose any card that is already claimed by another player who signed up earlier.. The following cards are banned and
cannot be chosen as unique cards:

Furthermore, pillars, pendulums and mark cards also cannot be chosen as unique cards.
When the sign-up period is over, the initial placement of players on the board will be determined by random.
Player | Name | Unique cards |
P1 | pikachufan | Abomination, Arsenic, Acceleration |
P2 | majofa | Antlion, Heal, Fire Shield |
... |
2. MOVING ON THE BOARDEvery round each player will post a move on the board. Players can move 1 tile in any directions, including diagonals, so at most 8 destination tiles are possible (less if they are at the edge or corner of the board). If there is another player on an adjacent tile, then an attack is declared instead of a simple move. It is not allowed to "run-away", i.e. if there are any players around you, then you must choose to attack one of them, cannot step away or side-step them. The player order (order of the signup) determines priorities if a player has to fight multiple battles in a turn.
3. DECKBUILDING- you are allowed to use any mark, pillars, pendulums and other cards
- you are allowed to use your own unique cards (up to 6 copies each)
- you must to use at least 6+6 cards from the 2 elements corresponding to the row & column of the tile you were standing on before the battle (pillars or pendulums of those elements are included in the count),
except those cards that other players own as unique cards to them
- you can use a limited number of upgraded cards -- the number slowly increases over the rounds (starts from zero, then increases by one every round)
Due to the minimum 6+6 cards from the 2 tile-elements, monos are clearly not allowed, but apart from duos, trios and higher element counts per deck are made possible due to the availability of unique cards that may not match the 2 tile-elements.
Spoiler for Example:
In the board example above, when P1 and P2 battle each other, the following deck would be valid for P1:

52q 52q 52q 52r 52r 52r 52r 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ll 5lm 5lm 5ls 5ls 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 8pk
The following deck would be legal for P2:

55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 55s 5f5 5f5 5f5 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5om 5om 5om 5om 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 8po
Note, that P2 cannot add Acceleration to the above deck, due to it being P1's unique card.
4. DUELSPlayers have 4 days to make the fight happen for each round. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both. If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was, and his or her word is final.
Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.
You are allowed to change your deck (and mark) at any time but you only have 3 minutes to do so. If it takes you longer than 3 minutes, it is considered a forfeit and the other player has won the battle.
It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.
5. AFTER DUELSWinner should post a new topic in the "Battle Results" section, along with short description of how the match went.
Both the winner and the loser are required to post pictures of their decks. The loser decides which unique card is transferred over to the winner and posts that along with the deck. If a player has lost the last unique card, then that player is eliminated.
The winner always moves to the former tile of the loser. If the loser is not yet eliminated, then he/she moves to the former tile of the winner, i.e. they swap places.
6. WINNERWhen only 2 players remain on the board, a final battle is fought between them (without any more moving on the board). They use the elements based on the tiles they are standing on, this is an extended battle of Best-of-7 games.
7. REWARDSThe winner of the event will receive the following forum award icon:
