1 of a kind

My idea for an event would be to build decks that can't use more then 1 copy of any card besides pillars or pendulums. This could be run as an event max 32 people and it could be a rounds with a single elemanation top 8. If somthing like this has been used or sugested before sorry i'm new and just throwing ideas out. Well let me know what you think and i'll try and make more rules to it. I would say it would be un-uped or if uped was allowed uped and un-uped would be considered the same card to keep things fair.
Ok i am kinda coping some of the format used by Ddevans96 in his dualism post since seeing his made me think i needed to add alot more to my idea.
1 of a Kind
Players create decks with no card being used more then once. (Expect for pillars or pendulums) No uped cards so this is more newbie friendly, all rares are allowed.
Signing Up
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. First you should read the rules very thoroughly. Then you can sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic or if it is locked, this event is not currently active and you will have to wait for it to restart.
Maximum amount of participants for this event is 32. If the event is full you can sign up as a reserve player, and will get a chance to join the event if any of the 32 players doesn't show up during the first round.
Deck Building
As of right now only un-uped cards are allowed. The only rules are max of 1 copy of each card in your deck only exception is pillars or pendulums. Deck sizes may be any size that you wish and you may change your deck inbetween games of a match.
Tournment style
We will be doing a 4-5 rounds of Swiss where you will be pairs at 1st randomly then paired with the person closed to your record, i.e. in round 2: 1-0 will be paired with a 1-0 record pair downs will happen randomly and byes will go to the player with the lowest record. Byes count as a win. After the rounds of swiss we will have a top 8 single elemention round to declare a winner.
Matches
Player have 4 days to make the fights happen. Rounds will be best of 3 wins. If you don’t complete a round it will be up to the T.O. to determin who was more actively trying to get the match done and that player will get the win. All players who don’t respond during a match will be droped from the tournament.

The top part was my orginal idea and post i just kept it for now intill i have more time to look it over and make sure i kept all of my ideas in my larger update. any advice or feedback on this would be great i wouldn't mind Orginzing this event if i could i kind of like that stuff but am more then willing to get any and all help anyone is willing to give

This suggestion is more along the lines of a tournament than an event. Events need to have more depth than tournaments, and this has none. It would probably be one of the easiest tournaments to run, since there would be almost no confusion about the rules.

You could go duo but it would be kinda weak.. this forces you to go 3 or more really, and If blackhole is such a problem it would be Just one card in the deck of 30 at times it will be the card that is so far down it will have no impact on the game. It also could be banned from an event like this. I need to test out more decks really to see what cards would be a major problem.. I thought black hole would be a powerful card but the power of this format is you have to make a deck that works around just cloging your deck full of 1 powerful card and that is your deck.. I'm not sure this event or tournment would work with elements right now it's somthing to keep in mind for later i guess.

Yeah I thought of this idea as a tournment really but it could work way in the future when the card base is larger as an event.

Also as the idea of 3 of each card that loses alot of the feel for an event like this with decks as small as 30 i would say 2 max that would be able to go mono with a weak deck and duo with a slightly stronger one.
