Other than that, limits on what work computers are used for are in place in most companies, so why not?

You'd think porn was on the previous list, but I'm not so sure since US Congress has just recently taken up the issue (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-20010067-38.html) and groups like the ACLU are loathe to allow the government to deny what they feel to be freedoms protected by the US Constitution.  Apparently the founding fathers of the United States fought for liberty against tyranny and the right to view porn on the job.

alright, in the beginning, hitler didnt want to kill the jews, in fact, he discouraged it. he simply wanted them out of germany, which is understandable if you were raised the way he was. (not saying its right, just understandable) they refused to leave their home and hitler tried to nudge them out a little, they held there ground. this pissed hitler off, and doing what he believed was the right thing, he decided to use some more forceful methods. those only kind of worked, one of his advisers hated the jewish faith and convinced hitler that the only way he could get them out is through murder, and so, the night of the broken glass came along. hitler didnt want the jews to die, so he tried to push even harder with this night. it didnt work, so he took his advisers advice and began with ordering the deaths of the jews. hitler wasnt all bad, he was given VERY bad advice. and he was raised in a HORRIBLE climate. he was doing what he believed to be the right thing to do, just like ALL OF US DO. his was just a VERY unpopular sense of right and wrong.

i personally dont have a sense of right and wrong. i just try to help people when they ask for help. thats all i ever really do when it comes to morals. of course i do help people when its obvious that they need help, but wont admit it.

My opinion, if a office place blocks Muslim sites, they have to block christian sites. If they block Gun advocacy, they have to block the opposite. My work allowed us to play games, and do just about anything (aside from looking at porn) as long as we were doing our job. I dont believe companies should take a political/religious stance on anything. It is their workplace, so they should be able to say what you can and cant do on stuff that relates to the company (even outside of your workplace) since its what you agree to upon getting the job, but the instant you show bias on 1 issue, you open the door to choosing someone because of their viewpoint, and not because of their qualifications.

what i was saying was that in hitlers opinion, he was as close to a pure being as they come. and in my opinion, i am as pure a being as they come. what i was saying is that all people have their ideals of what is right and what is wrong. its kind of like the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". now, would i be friends with hitler? HELL no. i would try to kill him, kill one save a thousand and all that good stuff. my only goal in life is to keep the peace of the world, by any means necessary. and its plagues like hitler that disrupt the peace of the world.

I'd block whatever's not getting work done.  Who cares if it's a "controversial" site or just an email from your grandma?  It's downtime either way.

Depends when in his life we're talking about.  Give me anytime before he started overthrowing government and I bet we could go bowling and sing some karaoke.  Lots of people in Germany didn't see it coming, and then things hit various fans and some people (including Dietrich Bonhoeffer, iirc) tried to have him assassinated.
