I'm tired of people trying to know The Truth. The truth exists, but it's so complicated that nobody knows it (someone might have guessed it though, there are billions of people in this world).

@unit, no government is fine. I've read my own books that state very fairly how our system (mostly USA's one) is based on false premises, just to mention one thing

@Sir Rebrl and ArtCrusade, the only certain thing you can state without being a spy or part of the government is that you have to leave doubts about everything you hear about this stuff. And I definetly dislike the way you treated unit. personal attacks are clear signs that you've lost control over your arguments, and you're only attacking the other to proof your point, which can still be wrong. -Karma if I had

More on-topic, also the government often uses conspiracy theories to justify their actions. But you know something? Conspiracy theories only are conspirations when they're against the power*. If the power* conspires, it's just suspicion.

*I use the power, and not the government/private sector/superman, because it's a general rule.

I'd recommend the movie "Zeitgeist", at least for the 11/09 part.

The only "personal attacks" I engaged in against unit were that he's the kind of person the government loves and that he's accepting of propaganda.

"I'm tired of people trying to know The Truth." That makes me twitch right there. Regardless of whether the government is as corrupt as I believe, assuming for the sake of argument that it is or at some point will be, if everybody stops questioning what they're told, stops trying to know The Truth, we might as well all be signing a form to be converted to slave sheeple.

Maybe not every conspiracy theory is true. Maybe. My point in bringing up the FEMA-related theories is that they seemed a working example to get people to look more at the other theories, some of which are really hard to argue against.

"I'm tired of people trying to know The Truth." That makes me twitch right there. Regardless of whether the government is as corrupt as I believe very probable, assuming for the sake of argument that it is or at some point will be, if everybody stops questioning what they're told, stops trying to know The Truth, we might as well all be signing a form to be converted to slave sheeple. I don't say we must stop trying to know the truth, but we can't assume it is true just because it sounds logical. There is and always will be a flaw in that logic, so you can't just assume something like "the FEMA is a terrorist, intentionally", because you might be wrong. However, you can still have your opinion

Maybe not every conspiracy theory is true. Maybe. My point in bringing up the FEMA-related theories is that they seemed a working example to get people to look more at the other theories, some of which are really hard to argue against. I agree, and I guess I understand you in that point

I guess at this point it would be prudent to let something be known, especially in the face of such ridiculously logical logic.

I have considered the possibility that anything/everything I've heard as evidence of conspiracy theories is as fabricated as they claim the government's stories are. I've actually contemplated it at some length. The reason I appear to believe it solidly and without question is probably because I generally believe it, and I'm just starting to talk to other people about it, so I'm still figuring out the best way to get other people to consider my points. Lately I've been operating under the assumption that apparent confidence in your points makes one take you more seriously.

It could be better to come across as more contemplative and considerate of the theories instead of bluntly confident, since many would probably take that to mean the person is more reasonable and less extreme conspiracy theorist. I'm starting to think that's probably so. It's a learning process.

OK then...

I still agree with you. I have my own "conspiracy" theories, as I've read some books about that stuff, some of shich are extremely well justified. But, back on topic, IDK too much about this FEMA, but they can be a) preparing to do something, or b) distracting the attention to cover something else.
Again, I can be wrong, since IDK too much about USA.

Ok guys. This is getting heated on both sides, and, if I do say so myself, both sides are starting to sound sorta preachy, and silly.

Everyone, breathe, and then try again with a civil, rational tone.

Let us try to avoid calling FEMA Nazi's. Let us not call people insane. Etc.
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. Speak the truth even when your voice falters.
