Alright, I think we can all see it is about waste now.
I feel I should add something, if you don't like it, skip to the end.
Metals, plastics, glass, and bio matter (includes wood) can all be recycled or it isn't harmful, so there is no need to isolate it for long or burn it.
I don't know much about the topic, so.. tricky asking me. It seems burning waste leads to instant air pollution almost always, so environmentally it can't be the way to go. If the waste is ''neutral'' and can be used as some fuel, then burning it is not any worse than burning common fuels. If there is no way to use the rest heat, don't burn though.
Since countries probably do not have the room or the resources for massive stockpiling, I think isolating the chemical or otherwise harmful waste is best, while you process the common waste in a different manner.
