http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2011/12/senate-military-detention/

The link above is to the wired article about a bill (which was passed the other day 93 to 7). So now we have drones, and military on USA air/soil. I suppose the next step is to get rid of the citizens right to bear arms, and to round up some random demographic into camps...

- I lament the the loss of the "free" nation. I wonder if Obama's Promise to veto the bill will hold up... here is hoping.

bill of rights has always been useless... in every other country.

So now we have drones, and military on USA air/soil.
What does this have anything to do with the article?

I suppose the next step is to get rid of the citizens right to bear arms,
Done, or are people under 18 who live in Georgia not considered citizens?

and to round up some random demographic into camps...
Done, or are the Japanese-Americans during WWII not considered citizens?

Wake up, wake up.

Not going to comment on this because I don't know much about it.

Shouldn't it be "plutocracy" instead of "pultocracy", and also "oppression"?

Sorry for being a wise...

Yeah, you're basically right, although it also violates the Constitution proper (see Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution (http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_A3Sec3.html)). Indefinite detention and detention without trial of American citizens accused of terrorism along with a broader AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force) are about to become law. Have you heard of SOPA? It's another new bill that the EFF has been freaking out about which would severely curtail free speech on the internet.

But we all just need to stop worrying because those terrorists are scary, right?  ::)
